A great family summer escape

A lovely picturesque setting in the tranquil Somerset hills. Uninterrupted views for miles. It was nice to be at an independent hotel where the owner was available and went above and beyond to look after his guests. There was also very helpful lady (Raylene I think?) who helped us navigate the area. The rooms had everything we needed. There was a selection of hot and cold breakfast items, and the bar was well stocked. Our children loved the pool, which was fantastic and much needed during the heatwave. Lots of room within the grounds, and plentiful parking (a car is advised!). A great place to get away from it all. We hope to come back soon!

Wedding Weekend Valentines

Booked 2nights in Tiger Lilley room to attend a hastily arranged (2 weeks) wedding of a very good friend of mine's son, because the couple wanted the grooms mother to be in attendance. Booking very easy. Arrived tired after a 400 mile drive from Scotland, greeted by a wonderful lady, think her named was Rachel. She was fab and worked so hard all weekend to make us feel so at home, nothing was too much trouble. The room was beautiful, clean and very comfortable bed.
The breakfasts were delicious.
The grounds are well maintained as too are all the function rooms. This is a true gem.
During the cold weather the reception area and main bar can be s bit chilly as doors are opened, a suggestion perhaps to m as ke the porch enclosed thus having a double door entrance. Also if you are driving and coming for first time don't panic once you turn off the main road, very narrow unlit road. The Sat nav will get you there. Jeremy Millins should be commended for all
His hard work making the event so eventful and joyous. Highly recommend.

Wonderful place

What a beautiful place. Stunning location, superb facilities and helpful attentive staff. Room was clean and comfortable. Indoor spa, outdoor pool and jacuzzi available for guest use.

A venue like no other - the most incredible views and impeccable attention to detail!
Jeremy, Rylene, and the whole team went above and beyond to make our wedding day more perfect than we could have ever imagined. They thought of everything from the big picture to the tiniest touches and it all came together so seamlessly. Their calmness, professionalism, and genuine warmth made us feel completely at ease, allowing us to relax and just soak up every moment. I would also like to personally thank Rachel, for being an amazing host and going above and beyond with not only myself and my new husband but also with every single one of our guests.
Our guests were blown away not only by the stunning setting but also by how beautifully everything flowed throughout the day. We couldn’t stop hearing “this is the best wedding we’ve ever been to,” which is the greatest compliment and a testament to the team’s hard work.
We’ll forever be grateful for the memories we made here. If you’re looking for a venue that combines natural beauty, meticulous attention to detail, and a team who truly cares, this is it.
