We had a wedding to attend and the staff were so helpful in allowing us to check in early so we could get dressed and leave bags in our room.
Rooms were clean and had everything you needed, air con was perfect and a comfortable bed.
Breakfast was also lovely - would happily stay here again next time we visit Penrith. Thank you!

Shock to system

These are rooms above a restaurant or in the same building as, more of a hostel or inn maybe than a hotel. Clean and comfortable room, small but I was alone so fine. Windows are knackered which meant that when people were fighting and shouting in the street outside at 230am, you didn't have any respite. Only there one night but my impression was that people get collected from the general area after nights out. Maybe avoid on friday or Saturday nights.

Sunday dinner

Upon booking a Sunday meal in advance I enquired if I could have the Sunday roast without the meat as I am vegetarian. To my delight the waiter was aware of this and reassured me my meal was all vegetarian.
Both my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals, the different vegetables were cooked lovely with delicious potatoes, Yorkshire puddings and gravy.
The staff were friendly and we will definitely return for another Sunday dinner.

Stopped for just the 1 night to break up the journey back to Scotland. Room was clean and well appointed. Decided to eat there which turned out to be a good choice. Only ordered a couple of starters to share and a loaded fries each. Starters were spot on especially the Bao buns which were really tasty. Neither of us could finish our loaded fries as the portions were more than generous. Staff were really friendly. Breakfast in the morning was also good quality and set us up for the journey home. Would definitely return.

Best Value In Town

My 2 night stay was much cheaper than the nearby Premier Inn were charging. The location just behind the main street and across the road from the bus station, was quiet and convenient. I was greeted with a friendly welcome, which included being shown to my room. My compact single room met my needs and the bathroom was smartly appointed with a good sized shower cubicle. The optional cooked to order breakfast is cheaper if purchased when booking your room. The restaurant is popular in the evenings, so advance booking is recommended. I found all the staff friendly and engaging.
