Country Comfort

Charming old building in lovely setting. Upon arrival they couldn't initially find our reservation due to a new system, but eventually things were sorted. Our room was a Fairway Suite in the main house which we booked for a birthday stay. The room itself was very nice and spacious and in good condition, but unfortunately we faced an internal courtyard. Another issue was we had booked for three family members, and even though the sofabed was made up there was only 2 cups and 2 glasses in the room and two robes. There was also a used robe left in the bathroom from previous guests. They had thoughtfully left a birthday card in the room but it had the wrong name on it! There seemed to be a lack of attention to detail. We had also booked an afternoon tea for my birthday and there was also some confusion over our booking for this. I had only confirmed everything the week before. The afternoon tea itself was pleasant enough but service was friendly though a little disorganised. Unfortunately due to bad weather we were unable to enjoy the grounds or any activities. Breakfast was in their attractive main dining room with a small continental selection and a cooked buffet. All in all a pleasant stay but not 4*.

POD life.

Fantastic location at this hotel/Pod. Our POD was clean and we paid for this to be cleaned daily (there is a choice) which was the right call if it is wet. Average value if not slightly expensive. Breakfast is excellent and food at the restaurant is excellent. Staff are very helpful. Nice walks but quite hilly. Views of surrounding countryside stunning. Perth is a nice town 2.6 miles away. Our stay coincided with a wedding reception, the noise crossover in the restaurant affects the ambience, i.e. you can hear the band playing loudly whilst you eat and people cheering. The toilets then became, as you would expect from a wedding sharing them, quite dirty and unacceptable, I reported this and the hotel did not nothing to clean them. They were still out of order the next day. If there is a wedding reception avoid the restaurant or you will be disappointed/annoyed.

Night away in the pod

Lovely estate with amazing staff wasn’t very clear what we had booked and when we arrived we were left disappointed loads of dead flys in the pod and very loud music until late hours but staff are amazing

Amazing stay at Murrayshall

I had the pleasure of staying in a luxury pod with my 2 daughters for 3 nights. The accommodation was spotless, and had everything you would need. The TV in the lounge area felt like we were in the set itself :).
Hot tub was great and the sun shining was a rare bonus.
We arrived early and I was treated to a massage with Lucy, which was amazing.
We then had afternoon tea in Cairns and it was yummy, staff couldn't have done enough.
Food and service were incredible. We ate in both restaurants and the highlight was the 8 course taster menu and the service from Paul, the restaurant manager. Adjustments were made to menu for my daughter as she is pregnant.
The surrounding area is beautiful and we went both quad biking and a hike.
This was our first time here, and highly recommended. It's also a short drive to Perth Race Course.
It really was a great experience with the friendliest, courteous and fun staff.

Beautiful hotel in a peaceful gorgeous country setting.

This was a beautiful hotel in an absolutely beautiful setting. The grounds are on a golf course in a peaceful country setting. The breakfast was very nice. The staff were friendly and helpful. Although the rooms were small they were clean and comfortable. It was worth paying a little extra to stay here.
