Highly recommended

We were made very welcome by the proprietor. The food was delicious and nothing was too much trouble . The room had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. Even an hairdryer.

Health and Safety needs to be reviewed

Negatives- No one in attendance when we arrived, a workman appeared and let us in. Then had a text to give us codes. This room had no separate entrance, you had to go through a cafe and up some very open steep stairs.
In the room, there were daisy chained plugs, badly fitting laminate floor boards which bounced as you walked over them. The "firedoor" was not a fire door with broken closer. Bathroom shower door didn't open very far , had to squeeze in ( if you are size 16+ you will struggle. Shower had 2 temperatures , hot and cold.
Wardrobe not fastened to the wall and chocked up with pieces of wood. We also had a daily battle with ants parading up and down..
Surfaces were not easy cleanable.
Positives- Parking around the corner.
Location is good.
Bed was clean and comfortable.
A fan was provided.

Okay but

Location is in a shopping precinct with no parking. Room small but only overnight stay it was ok but steep stairs not suitable for people with mobility problems

Convenient, comfortable clean place, very helpful hosts

The taxi driver from the station didn't know where it was, which was annoying. It's very central, and if you mention that it's near the Job Centre or Pound stretcher, that should help. The place faces on to a pedestrianised square, so you have to walk a few steps. The host came to meet me and carried my case up the rather steep staircase. Room was comfortable and spotless, but ear plugs would be a good idea, it got noisy outside. Granted, I had the windows open because the cool breeze was lovely. Wherever you go by the sea side the gulls will make a racket, and there was some disturbance in the square.
I have to thank the hosts for their kindness with me. I was very anxious and they sorted me out with patience. Much appreciated!

Cancelled our stay at the last minute

Whatever you do, do NOT book this hotel. Cancelled at 9pm the evening before our trip. Apparently, they had overbooked! Not my problem that they can’t manage their hotel. Had a load of grief trying to find somewhere else to stay and it cost me more money. Definitely one to avoid
