Great value and well-equipped room
Very friendly host, we had cycled there and she made sure we had secure storage for the bikes. Although we had a shared bathroom, due to Covid, we were the only guests hence had the bathroom for sole use which had a bath plus shower. The room had plenty of storage and space as well as numerous usb sockets for charging.
Breakfast was plentiful, lots of choice. Highly recommend

Sadly didn't meet expectations.
I had heard about this site so thought I'd try it for a 2 night stay. It's cheap and cheerful, no frills which is fine by me. I arrived at the site and checked in at the reception. I was met by a friendly lady who told me where the water taps were, and pointed me in the direction of the composting loo's. She informed me that I was free to choose my own pitch so I had a quick wander around and chose a spot by the woods, which was situated between two caravans. It looked as though people lived in them, or used them as a base to get away when they could, which was fine. As a lone female camper I wanted to be nearer others, but not so close that either them, or me, were intruding.
The space I chose was suitably big enough for my small tent and the lady on reception had confirmed I could camp there. However, when I was unloading my car I was greeted by a man who presumably lives in one of the caravans, who told me I couldn't pitch there as the guy who lives in the other caravans would want to park his car there. There was plenty of space in front of the vans to park there and I informed him that I had been told I could pitch there. He then muttered something about "campsite politics" and that he shouldn't have said anything. By then my eagerness had soured and I decided to pitch elsewhere on the site, well away from the caravans but I should have gone with my gut feeling and left then and there.
The site itself is nicely situated and the composting loo's were clean and not as bad I thought they might be, however, the doors didn't open easily, then when opened, wouldn't stay closed when you were inside!
The grass across the whole site was too long which was a bit of a nuisance.
I did sleep well until the hounds from a local hunt decided to spend a good portion of the very early morning howling and barking. I hadn't known there was a local hunt kennel and the barking really disturbed my dog.
On the whole, it didn't have that campsite "feel' to it, and actually felt more like a commune which isn't what I was looking for and the initial issues were sadly enough to sour my stay. I left after one night.

Confederate flag in an otherwise lovely site
Lovely campsite with loads of space....BUT A Confederate flag was flown by the site staff during our stay. We discussed it with the manager who suggested it was the groundskeeper who didn't understand the symbolism....hardly a valid excuse! just tell him to remove it and bin it! We had no assurances that the management cared or were going to do anything about it, suggesting they supported it. If you can turn a blind eye to the racist connotations that come with flying a Confederate flag, then it's a lovely site. Sadly, we won't be returning.

Exceeded expectation
Cannot praise this place another nit my Russell prefrancetend to stay in hotal but chose ebirways as wanted to stay in priddy.
In arrival received a very warm welcome history straight away pointed out that she thought I'd been over charged by boooing company and would sort it out which she did.
I stayed in a lovely annex without side seating room modern with lots off lovely touches lots off select on tea tray including small bars off chocolate,,a large booklet with information, I'm rarely local so know all the tourist attractions but this booklet also had lots off walls in it which was very helpful.
The host really go the extra mile nothing is 2 much trouble iv stayed in 4 star hotal andnit had the sevice I received here,don't want to check out.

Great B & B.
One night only booked. I received a call the day before with a query, easily solved.
A lovely, friendly lady greeted us, showed us our annexe room and made us feel very welcome. Neat, clean room and en suite, patio table and chairs outside, which we utilised even though the sun wasn't playing. Surrounded by fields, so peaceful after life in town! Fantastic home cooked breakfast.
I can't think of anything that wasn't thought of.
