Sneaky extra night in Reading

Staff were all very helpful, hotel feels big, but is well designed. Room was a good size, clean with a comfy bed. Didn't have anywhere to hang your towels to dry once used - needs a couple of hooks. We had dinner and breakfast, the evening meal menu isn't overpriced and extensive, food was decent. Breakfast was ok, nothing special, buffet, no black pudding , waited ages but none appeared. Coffee was disappointing, the single machine wasn't enough for all the guests and coffee tasted too sweet - then we saw them adding milk powder to the machine - that's why it tasted weird. Staff were all friendly and the spa was decent but the pool was slightly colder than comfortable. Free parking. We would stay again but will have tea ☕ next time. The picture is if coffee out in reading not at breakfast.

Good hotel overall but with many room issues.

Hotel is well located. Breakfast was good.
However we booked a room for 2 adults and a child. We expected three beds. When we got to the room there were only two beds and a sofa. We called reception and they told us the sofa was the third bed. We had to press them to send someone to help set up the bed. This was such a difficult process that the first person had to call another for help. We then had to press them to make up the sofa bed. They had to leave and then return, as the were no additional bedding items in the room.
We also had to change the iron in the room, the original one did not work.
Following morning we discovered there was a drainage problem in the bath. Water was building up and not being drained away. The relevant button stopped working. Our daughter had to shower in about three inches of water. We were afraid she would slip.

Lovely

Lovely day out. The restaurant has a fantastic selection of Indian food especially, I was surprised there wasn’t more “healthy spa” options but I had a lovely Caesar salad starter which was ginormous
Will be back for a spa day. I had a body scrub and lymphatic drainage facial, then relaxed in the pool area for a while which also has a sauna and steam room. Happy with the value!

Nice hotel let down

Rooms are lovely clean comfortable and everything you need
Food isn’t great not good quality or value for money , breakfast is great but wouldn’t eat at any other time
For the size and cost of the stay should be better
Over worked staff leads to mistakes continue s 12 hour plus shifts

Best experience with best service

We stayed here for two nights with my family, rooms and service is fantastic and they had ensured each family member from senior citizen to child needs was kept at priority. We loved food and all meals. Special thanks to Mr. Haji Mohamad who had ensured that we have a smooth and safe stay with so many good memories. Thanks to the staff for being friendly and co-operative
