Stomehaven relax

Family, Family,
Nice quaint environment clean and comfortable.

Disappointing

We booked 3 rooms to stay for a wedding. The rooms had clearly just been decorated and all the pictures were missing. The rooms looked bleak and the bathrooms were very old fashioned. Breakfast were served at the adjacent cafe. We were asked to have a very early breakfast 'as we have a large non resident group booked in' which was not at all convenient. My husband and I (both English) were a bit early so our (very young) waitress chatted about, amongst other things, how it was essential to have a Scottish Parliament as the English took all Scotland's money. The breakfast was nice but I believe they have closed the cafe. An unfortunate experience that has put us off any holidays in Scotland.

Great place to stay in Stonehaven

Lovely and clean bed & breakfast in a great location. Only downside we had to wait for our room to be ready, maybe a 4pm check in would be better. Staff were friendly, polite and helpful.
Hunting for somewhere to park was a bit of a nightmare, but finally found parking space in the street.

Wonderful B&B in Stonehaven

We spent 2 nights at Arduthie house and it was everything we needed. This lovely bed and breakfast in Stonehaven is stylish, comfy and felt like a home away from home. Our room was spotless and the mattress was so comfortable. On top of that, breakfast was excellent and the young woman working in the cafe couldn't have been nicer. We liked it so much we will be back.

Clean, Comfortable and Quiet Stay -- Walking distance to Donottar Castle

Excellent location to explore Donnottar Castle --- actualy can walk. Comfortable and clean room and very quiet. Use of a very comfortable living room on the second floor and since there was only 1 other couple staying we had it to ourselves. Only complaint was that the breakfast was supplied by the attached restaurant and therefore the options were menu items, all heavy and cooked (except for a yogurt/granola cup). We are very much the continental breakfast light eaters and the lack of that option was disappointing. Otherwise nice stay.
