The individual chalets were very good, nice size, the kitchen was very useful. The swimming pool and facilities were clean and a good size.

Needs some care and attention

We are nearly at the end of our week and find the accommodation needs updating. We previously stayed here in 2014 and 2016 and we have always stayed in the 2 bed/2 bath lodges and can compare with previous visits. This time we are in lodge 303 which is sadly lacking in a few areas. The bathrooms and bedrooms are still very good and the beds comfortable with good quality bedding and white fluffy towels. However, the kitchen, dining and lounge areas are in need of attention. The dining room chairs have covers that hide stained seats that are not nice at all. I mentioned this to the lady housekeeper who knocked on our door to ask if we needed anything. She said there was nothing she could do about this. The second bedroom is lacking the couch that is usually in situ and the curtains are not of good quality in the lounge/dining room. The outside patio was littered with leaves when we arrived and still is and is in need of repainting as is the outside of the lodge. For the supposedly top of the range and most expensive we are disappointed in how the lodges have deteriorated. We have not used the spa, gym or pool as we prefer walking the SWCP and visiting the fishing villages close by. Having said this I would stay again as I can see from pics that some lodges have been modernised. However, despite the above, we have enjoyed our stay as the area and village of Tywardreath is lovely. The pub in the village is well worth a visit for lunch or dinner.

The room was clean with everything we needed. The beds were two twin mattress put together which kept separating leaving a gap to fall through which was very annoying and uncomfortable.
Breakfast was good, lots of choices.
Pool and spa was nice, sauna was out of order though but everything very clean.
Overall it was really nice for the price and I would go back, just would make sure it’s a full double bed!

The room was a little tired but clean and comfortable. The food was very good . Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Breakfast very disappointing
Food wasn't hot bacon was very overly dine, unable to eat coffee out of a machine was only just warm.
