Love this place !

We are staying in the fishermen’s hut number 8 and it is fantastic!
Been many times and it’s always a special place.
Big comfortable bed and wonderful sea views.
Shower is a squeeze but it’s worth it for all the other good bits. The town is packed with great shops and superb dining spots.

Penny lodge...70s themed, excellent value

We stayed 1 night in penny lodge. This is a completely separate 3 bed unit behind the main hotel. A quirky, 70s themed lodge. Definitely retro. Down steps for the main hotel for included brilliant breakfast. Fabulous sea views. Actually a little difficult to access. Need some TLC to access the front door from the road and a good tidy up outside. Access from the rear is up lots of steps. Once in, loads of space.. the lodge had everything we needed but I wouldn't call it cosy. It felt a bit neglected. Really good value for money though. Smelt of air fresheners which I dislike but it was clean. It could do with replacing 2 bedroom armchairs as they are torn. Very convenient for Whitstable attractions. Hotel staff were attentive, welcoming and helpful. Nick and I would use this place again. A great base for exploring Kent.

Cosy hotel by the sea

Lovely hotel by whitstable bay. We really enjoyed our overnight stay. We had a lovely deluxe sea view room with balcony at the frount. Lovely sea view and relaxing to sit outside on balcony with a bottle of bubbly with the sun shinning. Room was comfy, nice double bed, big tv, fridge, tea and coffee, iron and ironing board, binoculars, fan. Small bathroom with shower with Lovely bath products.
We headed back to the hotel after food in the evening just in time for the evening music at the bar. Good vibes, great music. We retreated to our room after the music and had a comfortable nights sleep. Breakfast was included in our rate. Nice english breakfast. Service from staff throughout the hotel from frount desk to bar staff very friendly and felt they really wanted you to enjoy your stay.
Highly recommend for a stay at the hotel continental if your planning a trip to beautiful Whitstable!

Lovely sea views

A lovely experience. Really enjoyed the downstairs rooms- bar and restaurant.
The stairs are a challenge but offer a fantastic sea view from the room.
It is clean and friendly staff. Bedrooms / bathroom small

Lovely stay with a great sea view.

The hotel reception was welcoming. Parking round the back was convenient as it was available before check in and after checkout for a short period. The sea view room was small but perfectly adequate. Everything was clean and well maintained. The shower was in great condition but the bathroom could have benefited from a dehumidifier mirror. The sea view itself was beautiful. Definitely worth paying extra. The bar was casual and relaxing. We stayed for one night whilst travelling through. Breakfast was a buffet style. All staff were very pleasant and welcoming.
