Nice stay

Hotel located in the old town in a building over 100 years old with a very old style elevator. Self check-in, reception open only in the morning, later contact by phone - if necessary. Possibility to reserve a parking lot which is located in the street at the back of the building. Quiet, peaceful and clean. Good breakfast. Room and bathroom spacious, beds comfortable (for me too big pillow)

Beautiful substance - Unlovingly guided

Spacious old building rooms with high stucco ceilings. Toilet lid torn. No handle on the bathtub shower. The exterior doors of the advertised nostalgic elevator are covered with a centimeter-high layer of dust and the parking garage prices quoted are now 20% higher.

Better than expected

"We didn't have high expectations when choosing the hotel, but we were pleasantly surprised by the value for the price. The breakfast was decent, and the hotel's design was a unique highlight, featuring a very old yet fully functional lift that added character to our stay. To our surprise, the hotel also offered its own parking right behind the building, which, despite a small fee, was more affordable than other options. Overall, for a two-night stay, this hotel was a great find in such a magnificent city.

Nice location

In a steep street in the city center you have to call to access it by car. Parking with a few adjoining spaces or Preferential Award in city parking but not side. Small elevator very old with charm as in the past but functional. Very quiet. Large bedroom and large bathroom. Very comfortable bedding with as always our individual duvet. Everything is very clean. Checking to do online because no welcome at the time we arrive but no worries. Key in mini mailboxes at the entrance. No shutter like everywhere and big pillow. Normal breakfast without frills is not the best.

Staying at a reasonable price in this sumptuous spa town of Karlovy Vary, so touristy, a real challenge...The hotels are here rather luxury! That’s why our choice was based on this “hotel”: no reception staff, everything happens by courier interposed! The code to open the front door, the game of track to get the room key, understand the operation of the elevator (4 floor hotel), etc. The only thing that distinguishes this airbnb is the breakfast included in the room price... which is good, without more, since the person on duty is alone, and therefore has difficulty following for the supply. But the most complicated thing is to get to this hotel located in the city center, since you have to call on the phone to lower the retractable bollards that allow access to Trziste Street. Indeed, the indications given including clumsy, then I give you this advice: you must arrive by the road Divaldelni nam, and present yourself in front of the terminals of the street Trziste, at the foot of the red lights. The other solution is to arrive via the high street Zamecky Vrch, which we did for the start. But where we border on the scam is when the hotel’s offer says “private parking is available on site”! This means that it does not belong to the hotel, but above all that it is very far from the hotel at 1.5 km mini!! (for 14 to 18 euros a day in 2024). So I can not advise you enough to study before your departure, the position of the 7 covered parking lots of the city on Google Maps and take into account the elevation differences of this city built in a hole... Pros: the hotel is healthy, quiet, very well placed to walk around the city, the rooms are large and bright, the mattresses are good and there is enough pressure for the bathtub water on the 4th floor... But do not ask for more, because the building is a bit decrepit and patched up with brick and pitcher, without real maintenance. For 1 or 2 nights, this is fine, but the price / quality ratio remains average. Fortunately, the city has a crazy charm, and you will quickly fall in love...
