Great hotel in the center!

An excellent hotel in the center of Karlovy Vary. We would highlight the excellent location, the possibility of parking a short distance from the hotel, clean and nice rooms. But what was best was the friendly and helpful staff, whether at the reception or at breakfast (which, by the way, exceeded expectations). We can only recommend the hotel!

Great location - great service

Short break in the Palatin Karlovy Vary
Excellent staff.
Coffee/tea is served personally at breakfast.
Rooms: very clean and well-kept.
Elevator available and working.
Free WiFi available and working.
Best location right next to the "Mill Colonnade" (a group of extremely hot healing springs lined up in Greek architecture).
The best location also has challenges:
The hotel is in a pedestrian zone.
You are allowed to drive into this zone by car to unload/load your suitcases - but after 9 a.m. you don't really dare to push away crowds by car - and endure the comments.
Recommendation: If you arrive by car, park your vehicle briefly in the "Zamecky Vrch" street (west directly behind / at the height of the Palatin Hotel). From there, a "hidden staircase" (30 m) leads directly to the hotel.
Ask the hotel about a permanent parking space (reserve in advance in high season). During our stay, the receptionist personally accompanied us to our final parking space - great service!!! 16 € fee per day (a bargain for Czech tourist cities). The final parking space was only about 30 m from the "Zamecky Vrch". Parking spaces in the center of Karlovy Vary are very valuable!
You don't have to use the stairs to transport your luggage either.
There is an elevator (about 40 m from the Palatine) from the pedestrian zone to the "Castle Tower" (sightseeing attraction) - and you are automatically on the level of your Palatine parking spaces.
It was a wonderful stay - Hotel Palatin is recommended.

Right in the center of historic spa

Nice and charming place. Clean and cosy. Only 22 rooms, located in the centre of the city. Very good service. A parking place located up the street a few minutes walk. The location is main convenience of hotel.
Czysty, nieduży hotel połozony w samym centrum tej uzdrowiskowej perły.
Parking kilka minut od hotelu i nie łatwo go znależć - recepcjonistka okazała sie w tej kwesti bardzo pomocna. Jedzenie i obsługa doskonała.

Good value for money

First time to Karlovy Vary and stayed in Hotel Palatin. Location quite central, however still kept tranquil at night. Room was spacious with comfortable sitting area. Large bathroom was usually sparkling clean. Breakfast area was gorgeously decorated. Staff were helpful. One thing I have to mention, it's soundproofing is pretty good.

Mini Break

I came to Karlovy Vary for a 3 night stay with my sister. The hotel is right in the centre of the shops & restaurants, which is good. The hotel is nice & clean & the staff are friendly & very helpful.
However, the same cannot be said for most of the shop assistants & restaurant staff!
We found them to be unfriendly & quite hostile towards us! They barely smile & are quite arrogant!! It feels quite ‘clicky’ here &
is mainly set up for Russian & German people.
We went into a travel shop to book a day trip to Prague & we we told, very bluntly, it was only for Russians! When I asked why, she shrugged her shoulders.
We were told that not many English people visit Karlovy Vary, & now I know why!!
Prague is a much friendlier place!
