Fiald Hotel Bacau - a big pleasant surprise!

Hotel Fiald in Bacău was a very pleasant surprise. I expected high‑quality services from a 4‑star hotel, but the reality exceeded my expectations. I will try to explain the statement above:
1. Reception, restaurant, and spa staff — always smiling, polite, and eager to help.
2. Spacious and clean rooms — elegant bathrooms, bathroom amenities, everything in perfect working order: remotes, lights, etc.
3. Restaurant with very good food — decent prices, soft background music, dim lighting, discreet and efficient staff.
4. Breakfast included — nothing out of the ordinary, similar to what most 4‑star hotels offer, but the early start time (7:00 AM) is a real advantage for early risers.
5. Free parking for hotel guests.
5. Top‑level pool and spa — a 25‑meter indoor pool, three different types of saunas, jacuzzi, outdoor saltwater pools with bubbles, and an outdoor sauna. Sensational!
All in all, an excellent price‑to‑quality ratio. Without a doubt, I will return.

The stay was okay. Dissapointed as for a 3 nights stay the towels were not changed once. No daily cleaning either. Also, the worst was that the shower only had 1 container with 1 liquid for everything - samphoo, shower gel, conditioner. No body cream whatsoever so make sure to bring yours. The breakfast was minim with the same menu options daily. Other than that the room was specious and clean. The staff was friendly also

Rude Staff and Zero Hospitality – Avoid This Spa!

Absolutely terrible experience with the spa staff. I simply wanted to pop in and have a quick look at the facilities before deciding to book, but they flat-out refused to let me inside. The personnel were incredibly rude and dismissive, showing zero politeness or understanding of basic hospitality. Felt completely unwelcome—avoid this place if you value courtesy!

We arrived late in the evening, returning from the Carpathian Mountains en route to the city of Iași, just to spend the night with 2 children, but we couldn’t do it because when we entered the room, it was very hot, the room was 28 degrees, and the air conditioner wasn’t working. I turned it on, it ran from 10 PM to 1 AM and only lowered the temperature to 25 degrees, I had to turn it off because it was making a lot of noise, I couldn’t sleep, I couldn’t reduce the speed, it was impossible!
After I turned off the air conditioner, I realized that this wasn’t the only noise in the room, plus there was vibration from the air conditioner in another room, the entire room was vibrating. This was the worst night in hotels, and my wife and I with 2 children have been traveling around Europe for a month already, we have changed about 20 hotels, but we haven’t had anything like this before.
I do not recommend this hotel!!!
When I was checking in, the only request at the reception was to give me a quiet room!
I didn’t go in the middle of the night to change the room because I don’t see the point in packing all the things, moving, making the bed for the children myself, which I had to do late in the evening, I didn’t do it, but I couldn’t sleep either (((

Just a couple of minor issues like tv didn't always work properly and bathroom sink handles appeared not to be secured. Otherwise great hotel.
