Was here

VilaDaria is a small 9 roomed bed and breakfast situated between two ski runs on the resort very nice "ovation quiet and friendly it Ida family run establishment excellent breakfast ,small bar ,large bedrooms great value for money

Pleasant stay in the middle of nature

Excellent location, in the forrest. There's no neighbours around for about 300 m. Very close to Lupului slope. Nicole Kidman stayed here during Cold Mountain filming.
Big rooms with huge bathrooms. Soft carpet on rooms floor.
Big living room with TV.
Price was 250 RON with breakfast included. Breakfast was ok, not spectacular, but ok.
Big parking space.
Villa has a bar with a large sortiment of drinks.
Also they have a ping-pong table.
Few improvments must be made but nothing disturbing.

Pleasant, quiet and well situated

My wife and I had a four night stay here during midweek and really enjoyed it.
To start off it is much quieter than the rest of the resort being away from any roads or other hotels and has a much more secluded feeling. It is a 30 second walk through the trees and you are at the bottom of the nursery slope which leads up to the gondola to the top of the mountain so ideally positioned. Also a bonus that you are allowed to leave board/skis in the lobby.
The staff are super friendly and speak excellent English. They were very helpful for anything we needed including taxis, transfers etc and always had a smile!
The room we had (101) was huge with a massive bathroom and extremely comfortable and warm. A huge bed and a nice touch that we had control over each radiator which really helped in terms of temperature control!!
The breakfast was decent, perhaps not the huge selection you may get at a larger resort but more than enough to get going, and did include a freshly cooked choice of eggs (I would recommend an omelette!)
For the price, quiet and the location I would definitely stay here again!! Thoroughly loved it!

Recomened villa

Excellent position, near two ski slopes and away from main road. It is very quiet, with nice, big rooms.
Very good choice for families. Children can play outside in the garden. Personnel is very good and willing to help you having a great time.

Very personal, home style

If you are looking for 5* all inclusive - don't go to Villa Daria. But if you are about to have a nice time before and after the mountains, with European breakfast and caring, pleasant staff - it's for you. The location is great, away from the crowd, but close to two of main lifts, black to the right, red/blue to the left. The only problem could be in language, Romanian and Italian are dominating, however, it will be fun and will push you to study basic Romanian) The loyalty of staff to whatever your kids are doing is worth it. Be aware that the cantina here is open only for breakfast, but there's plenty of good restaurants in Poiana to try.
