The hotel was absolutely beautiful, 5 minutes walk to a many lovely attractions. The staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. The restaurant in the hotel was great and had a lovely outdoor terrace area where we enjoyed lots of cocktails in the evenings. Our room was beautiful, spacious and very nicely decorated. I would totally recommend.

If you Are in emergency dont use Lido Hotel / Restaurant

I was eating last weeks 4 Times in Italian Restaurant of Lido Hotel.
Asked them now to give me Hotel and Food in Restaurant for one Week until my Insurance Pay 3000 Euro for Stolen IPhone, IPad, Wallet, Cards, Money…
Refused Shorts, Not possible…
What a Mafioso Money greedy place, Restaurant and Hotel Are Almosen empty !!!
Food was good, but also Sprite and Cola instead of Local Drink offer,..

The hotel was alright, beautiful decor and placed in an old building. The downside was that the room was not very well maintained, e.g. bathroom door handle was coming off completely, door stopped was off and left on the ground, the carpet didn't look very well hoovered. But on top of that, there was no hot water neither in the evening nor in the morning and we had to shower with cold water which is not ok for a 4 star hotel. And when we told staff in the morning upon check out their only response was "when did you shower, because the hot water returned an hour ago"....again for a 4 star hotel I'd expect hot water 24-7.

Wonderful choice for Bucharest!

Outstanding historic hotel in Bucharest. Well located. Renovated to match its 1930 build date. Breakfast was wonderful. The air conditioning was outstanding. Get a room with a balcony. Make sure to go out to what used to be the former pool. Lots of history.

Biggest problem was the shower. It keeps changing temperature while you take a shower regarding of the setting. It can get too hot and it burns you. Then if yiu put it a bit towardss cold it turns cold. Impossible to set it right. First day the AC wasn’t working well but they did fix it the same day. Probably a setting issue. The other problem is that they have a few steps to get from lobby to elevator and no ramp. If you have a heavy suitcase hopeffuly there is a man there to help you out.
