The Marmorosch

We stayed at the Marmorosch for 5 nights in May to celebrate our 40th Wedding anniversary. On arrival we were given complimentary prosecco and when we got to our room there was another chilled bottle waiting with two delicious desserts. The hotel is an old bank and still keeps a lot of the features. It is located on the edge of the old town, which is full of vibrant nightlife, cafés, restaurants and bars. Our room was clean comfortable and warm, the bathroom was great with an excellent shower, two bottles of water were refreshed daily. There was a coffee machine with a selection of pods. Breakfast was the star, excellent selection of both continental & cooked food in a delightful room. The Vault bar is the crowning glory, entry through a massive vault door and into the converted strong room. Booking is necessary as it is very popular and on the cosy side. If I was to return to Bucharest I would definitely look to book this hotel again.

Wonderful hotel

This is an excellent hotel. Everything was perfect from the breakfast, room and there great staff. Thank you to Daniella the reception manageress, Alexandra in reservations, Gabrielle and the two Bogdam guys and the waiter Pena. Many more.

The afternoon tea is not worth the money!!

I went for the afternoon tea today. Once I arrived, I didn’t feel impressed with the restaurant or the hotel. I arrived about 3pm and my afternoon tea time booked at 4pm. However, I was told by a waitress that it’s not possible to have that earlier as I book at 4. I’ve NEVER EVER met this situation even if I’ve been to hundred times of afternoon tea in the world.
The worst thing is that, when the afternoon tea is there, the scone was HARD AS A ROCK! I asked the waiter to change it from the kitchen and the second time is normal. However, its scone is dry cuz when I cut it, all fell apart. The chef literally has no idea how to make proper scones. Also, the tea pot is the smallest I’ve ever seen. The funniest thing is that the strainer is even bigger than the teapot! It’s hilarious! The only one good thing is that they have proper clotted cream. In general, the service is also just OK. It’s definitely not worth the money! I definitely won’t come back!!

Although we are pleased that our team was able to replace the first serving, the fact that the replacement still did not meet your expectations is unacceptable. We take all our guests as constructive and your feedback regarding the teapot and strainer is well received and considerate. While these may seem like small details, we understand that they contribute to the overall enjoyment and presentation of the experience.

Great hotel in the centre

Came to Bucharest to do the therme spa and explore the city with a friend. The hotel was perfect, smart and easy location to make our way around. The highlight of our trip was the vault bar in the basement where we found ourselves every night, great cocktails and vibe. Felt safe walking around and some great restaurants and food.

Amazing

Whenever I stay in Bucharest, I always choose the Marmorosch!
Starting from the quality of service to thw rooms design and the food at the restaurant, everything is perfect. Definitely 10 out of 10
