Complex Turistic Le Baron
Set in a quiet mountain area close to Vatra Dornei, 3 km from the Dorna Arini Monastery, Complex Turistic Le Baron features a fitness center and an à la carte restaurant. Guests can park on site, free of charge. Free WiFi is available in the entire property. All rooms are equipped with a balcony, a cable TV, a minibar and a private bathroom with a bath or a shower. Some rooms have mountain views and some have an LCD TV. The property also offers an on-site bar with a terrace, a garden and a children’s playground. On a surcharge, guests can relax in a Spa Centre fitted with a sauna, a hot tub and an indoor pool. The closest shops are within 500 metres from Complex Turistic Le Baron. The ski slopes in Vatra Dornei are 10 km away. Disclaimer notification: Amenities are subject to availability and may be chargeable as per the hotel policy.

Huge disappointment: great place, wrong owner
Strong points:
1. Location – Great, wonderful view of the mountains and river. Nearby Vatra Dornei.
2. Staff – Generally, very friendly and polite.
3. Generally, good taste of food at the restaurant. All types of food available the whole day. You could have soup in the morning and scrambled eggs in the evening, no problems. Excellent cappuccino. Good taste of the “House Wine”. Warning about possible food allergens!
4. Indoor pool, great when not overcrowded. Too much chlorine, but probably needed. Warm water temperature
5. Large courtyard with nice grass, tables, chairs and sunbeds for a pleasant sunbath.
6. Fridge in the room, huge advantage!
7. Obviously, extremely fantastic landscapes and plenty of places to visit and enjoy...if you have a good night sleep…
Limitations:
1. There are two buildings for accommodation in this complex: the main one, “Baron”, with the pool and restaurant and the “Baronesse”. This last one, wooden-made seems very nice and chic at first, but you can hear everything from every room, even paces and quiet voices. A couple was however shouting all night, yelling in their room and running around the building. Nothing that we could do, as there is no surveillance of this building and no one to call. Unacceptable! We were told that the cleaning ladies were there, we tried to talk with them, but no success. It was like a horror movie, we could not wait for the morning. We were like in a prison. Did not dare to go outside with this drunken couple around. SCARY PLACE!
2. Go figure! The price/night in this “Baronesse” is 300 RON! For a horror night! Much more expensive than in the main building – 200 RON! WHY????
3. The main door of this “Baronesse” is not closed during the night. There is a mysterious security alarm code on the main door, it should be for those who are accommodated there, but it does not work. Any thief could get inside. YOU ARE NOT PROTECTED THERE!
4. Not even in the main building (Baron), there is no quietness during the night. The restaurant should closed at 10 pm (for those who pay there to stay, like us), but it seems for those who come from outside it is open and they could shout and make noise during the night. Quiet place? No way!
5. Fittings loose everywhere, both in “Baronesse” and in “Baron”.
6. Usually, in the “Baron” doors is locked at night and you have to call someone if you want to leave earlier. What if God forbid there is a fire? You are locked in. There is no emergency exit.
7. Restaurant: despite its strong points, not many choices of food available, just classics. No cocktails. A bit pricey.
8. Rooms – made for midgets in “Baronesse”, larger in the “Baron”. Cleanliness – so and so. Nobody came to clean it during our long stay, nothing was provided; old chairs on the balcony.
9. No air conditioning in the room, but this is not a requirement for a guest house in Romania. In the mountains though, it was sort of OK.
10. Breakfast not included in the price/night.
11. Wi-Fi only on paper, not really working.
Conclusion: For the moment, not recommended at all. Sadly. Why to stay in a place with no safety and no quietness? They do not care about guests. Just take their money. Plenty of choices available in the area.

DIRTY
the couch was faulty, the remote was cover with gutter. Dust was not erased,
faulty plug, the quality of the TV cable was desirable.
