A wonderful hideaway place❤️

In the mide of the hills, right when you start seeing the mountains you enter the “Potcoava” land. Great hosts, a wonderful view, horses to ride, goats for fresh milk and cheese, dogs and cats, a real ranch of modern times. I loved the shole experience and definitely recommend it for weekend stays, for kids camps, for leadership retreats or team buildings!

Awesome location, clean, great food, lovely horses.

Awesome location, great for families with kids. Plenty of things to do over the weekend. Clean rooms and the food is extraordinary. Swedish buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner where you can always find something suited for everybody. Horses are very gentle suited for kids and beginners who are willing to be initiated into horseriding.

Great stay for a weekend!

I came to this place with my boyfriend and we had a lovely stay! The staff was extremely nice! The food was delicious and made with locally grown ingredients. The territory is quite big and located right on a peak overlooking the mountains.
The rooms are clean, but they could have been a little better equipped, for example with a table and glasses.

Teambuilding

I was here with my collegues for two days and it was fabulous. The room has big windows to mountains, balcony, nice bathroom and friendly bed. Thanks a lot for food, it was delicious, they have a great chef which prepared just delicious romainian cuisine. They have a place where you can practice horse riding and a place where you can make a camp fire.

Poor experience for an expensive price

One of the biggest problem we have faced was by far the staff. And unfortunately not just the staff, the owners made us also feel very unwelcomed. They didn't greet once even though we meet them several time a day. at arrival, we asked sheets for the baby bed we asked and paid for nobody ever came to bring them. everything we have asked for was not offered. There are some rules you are obliged to keep (house shoes all over the place for example), but all the house rules are just for guests, the owners just ignore them :-)
The living room is totally undersized if all the guest are there, and that is pretty much what you can do on a rainy day.
By far the biggest problem is the food, which is below any average. The ingredients they are using are just the cheapest ones they can get and you instantly see that. Now even the bread saved us, as it is also very bad.
And all this for a lot of money, compared to the other similar places in Romania. Totally not worthed.
The only nice things are the horses and the surroundings

I am sorry that you lived the experience you describe here. I would have been really happy to solve any problem during your visit to our place.
Since we are a horseback riding center situated in the middle of the forest I am happy that you liked our horses and the surroundings.
We (the staff and the owners) are trying our best to offer our guests an experience to remember and to come back for. I personally welcome most of our guests, gladly answer any questions and spend time talking about horses, mountains, the wild life surrounding Potcoava. I am also paying attention not to interfere with our guest’s family time. I do not know when you visited us, and I cannot add anything more about this.
We do not charge any money for baby bed sheets and if our staff did not help you with any of your requests that would have been a good moment to approach me. As the owner of Potcoava I am genuinely interested to offer my guests a very good experience.
The living room is 100 sqm and the dinning room is 130 sqm.
We understand that it is not always easy to enjoy a rainy weekend surrounded by nature. This is why for rainy days we also have a covered horse arena and most of our guests chose to use their time learning new things about horseback riding. We also have a nice collection of books, gameboards and DVDs. Sometimes listening to the rain and enjoying the view can also be a nice way to spend the time.
I am sorry you did not enjoy our food and also assumed that we use the cheapest ingredients. We buy most of the meat from a small local producer and we do not use cheap ingredients. The food is made fresh every day and the bread is home made. The only thing I can add about this is that I eat the same food together with my wife and children.
I hope you will decide to visit Potcoava again and give us the chance to improve your experience.
