Fantastic place for our visit

We had a wonderful time staying at the Bajtica Guesthouse in early May 2026. Our host Meta was so lovely and helpful throughout. We were blessed with beautiful weather during our stay and the views of Lake Bled and the surrounding areas are simply stunning. The meals we had at the guesthouse were delicious and we were so grateful that Meta could give us recommendations on what to do in the local area. We enjoyed so many different things - including our kundalini yoga sessions with Meta and hiring a boat so that we could row across Lake Bled. We enjoyed all our scenic walks like the trip up to the Castle (which also offers wine tasting!) and we even did some summer tobogganing. The guesthouse is in a perfect location so nothing is too far away. It was the perfect three-night stay for our group and i've been raving about it ever since we got back. Great memories that we will cherish forever :) Thank you!

I'll never have a holiday like it

I’ve just had a one-of-a-kind solo holiday in Lake Bled, all thanks to Bajtica Guesthouse and its hosts. Ana Marija and Meta were so welcoming and knowledgable about Slovenia and the surrounding area of Bled. They know its secrets, its special places and its history. The meals they prepared for me were also completely comprised of ingredients they’d either grown, or sourced from independent local farmers (or in some cases, sourced the best wine/olive oil independently from other countries like Turkey or Italy!) It’s a comfy, unique, one-of-a-kind house with one-of-a-kind hosts. You will never have a holiday like it.

AMAZING STAY!

We stayed in the cottage at Villa Bajtica and had the most amazing stay! The house is so charming and set in the most beautiful garden. The location is perfect, on a quiet street, but a short walking distance to everything in Bled. What really made the stay incredible was the host, Meta and her parents. They were so hospitable, bringing us local wine each evening, coffee and giving us so many local recommendations, plus teaching us some history of the area. We LOVED this place and can't recommend enough! Thank you Meta!

Lovely guest house, lovely host and in a great location

This guest house was full of character and warmth. Its 5/10 mins walk to the lake, but just far enough away to be peaceful in the evenings.
The host was friendly and helpful and obviously loves hosting. The room was perfect, shared bathroom modern and the garden was a pleasure to sit in. The breakfast was home cooked, with herbs from the garden, fresh produce from the garden and home made jams.
I was given a map and some local tips to get the best view of lake bled, how to get to a gorge, that I didn't even know was there.
I wish i had stayed longer and will definitely stay again when I return to Lake Bled, which is a beautiful place.

Slovenian hospitality

Beautiful Bajtica Guesthouse is located in a quiet part of Bled within walking distance to the lake, but far enough away from any tourist hustle and bustle. Highly recommended, with lovingly decorated rooms and furniture from the time of Art Nouveau. The managing hosts are uncomplicated and helpful with a good sense of humor and creative energy.
