Comfortable hotel

Ideally located hotel to visit Postojna and Predjama, very comfortable, clean rooms even if there is carpet, there is also the fridge at the disposal of customers, good breakfast, friendly staff and parking included.

Hotel Malovec is a well run 3* hotel with the benefit of a secure garage to store our bicycles

We were doing a cycling tour and booked an overnight stay in Hotel Malovec as a convenient stopping off point when cycling from Piran. This allowed us to time to visit Skocjan Caves in the afternoon before heading off the following day to cycle to Postojna Caves.
Hotel Malovec is a well run 3* hotel with the benefit of a secure garage to store our bicycles. We booked a double room directly with the hotel by email. We felt the hotel offered very good value for money and breakfast was also very good.
The restaurant was a bit brightly lit so we had dinner at local Picerija Etna instead which was a 5 min walk away and was very good (Pizza’s, Pasta and Steak).
We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Malovec and for EUR 90 including breakfast we would highly recommend.
P.S. Skocjan Caves and Postojna Caves are ranked #4 and #6 in the world and cannot be missed!

Acceptable

Booked by the Agency for an organized trip to Trieste. The main structure has merged the adjacent buildings by renovating them. Large and comfortable rooms, cleanliness improveable but acceptable. Simple but dignified cuisine. Friendly and helpful staff but quite disorganized in service. As the basis of a stage can go.

Good Stay

Hotel Malavec is an older hotel but had decent sized rooms and was clean. The furnishings were a little outdated, but it all worked. They had a very nice breakfast in the morning that was included. Good parking and very close to the interstate but not close enough that you heard the cars. There were a couple of restaurants within walking distance in the small town. It’s a good location if you are there to see the caves.

I stayed at Hotel Malovec for one night mainly to visit fhe Skocjan Caves nearby which are awesome. Everything was great but I particularly wanted to thank Darja for his kindness in sorting out transport to the caves and back. On a very wet day this was very welcome. His colleague Marko told me the next morning that he believes Darja makes the best coffee too - and I can vouch for that too myself. Thank you!
