Expensive for what it is

I think the price doesn't fit what they offer. I think you should check the
Small details in the rooms. Put soap dispensers, both inside and outside the shower , change the furniture of the rooms . They're very attentive and they're very attentive to you. They have a lounge with coffee maker.....

An absolute disaster...

Unfortunately, I have to agree with the bad reviews. The bathroom was not clean, it still had hair from the predecessor on the floor. The bath towels and duvets smelled musty and were old. Unfortunately, the room smelled musty, as if there was moisture. For breakfast you had to walk 5 minutes and the pension is outside the center. For pilgrims, check-in until 4.30 pm is too short. The rooms are enormously noisy. And the neighbor's dog barked until just after midnight and started again at 6:00 a.m. The price is cheeky considering the condition. There were many great accommodations on the Camino de Santiago for the same price. I would have liked to communicate this personally, but in the morning the reception was not occupied. And I recommend the owner to take the criticisms seriously and change them before you tell something about 100% cotton laundry etc., as with all other negative comments... cotton laundry is also old and musty at some point.

on the French camino overnight at Pension Codesal

very nice, very quiet pension with garden, the bedroom and bathroom are spacious, the bed comfortable, kitchen with fridge and breakfast essentials, the owner kind and caring, free parking, I recommend it to pilgrims

Camino santiago, great option

Great allocation for Camino de Santiago
It is not in the main lane, but not far away
There are a supermarket in front of it.
It has a public kitchen and child garden

Wonderful place, excellent innkeeper

We really liked Pension Codesal. It was a stop on the Camino and we arrived around 1:30 p.m. The gentleman who owns the pension was there to cheerily check us in and orient us, even though he speaks no English. The pension has a good clothesline for drying laundry and just across the street is a very good supermarket. We purchased bread, cheese, etc. and the pension owner set us up with dishes, glasses, cutlery etc. in the dining area so we could do our own lunch.
The room was great and the bathroom was large with a good shower. The only thing that wasn't perfect was the bed, which was not overly comfortable - maybe a 6 on a 1 to 10 scale.
The innkeeper asked us what time we would like breakfast (3.50 euros). We said 6:00 a.m., thinking this would be too early, but no, he was up and had everything prepared at 5:50.
A great stay as you near the end of your Camino!
