An anniversary that improved us
Value for money 5 out of 5. I rely on:

Last minute we were put in a special room for the same price and I hired without looking well, as it was wedding anniversary
I deal with staff: extreme friendliness, specifically from a restaurant worker named Nico, you see professionalism, speed and special attention, a worker that many companies would like to have, as well as the manager.
Cleanliness: perfect.
Recommended activities by the staff, exceptional, we were advised to see the natural animal park and it was a very nice activity and then visit villages in the area.
In short, definitely next year I repeat.
It is advisable to see in spring after the thaw and see waterfalls and active animals.

A three-star at most.
Aging hotel located on the edge of a busy national road, especially with heavy trucks day and night. Therefore, it is impossible to open the windows at night even though the rooms are not air-conditioned. The garden area with lounge chairs is also on the road side.
Noisy breakfast (carts used by the staff to clear tables cafeteria-style, percolator, squeaky toaster...).
On the other hand, the establishment is very clean, well located for visiting the Aran Valley and hiking, with a hearty breakfast and a small but pleasant pool.

The chef decides what you have to eat.
A BAD DECISION BY THE CHEF.
We were two couples; I chose trout for the second course, the others something else. When they brought the second courses, they served me cuttlefish. I reminded them that I chose trout, and they told me that when I chose it, there was some, but then it ran out and the chef DECIDED that I would eat cuttlefish. I told them that they should have told me immediately so that I could have chosen what I wanted to eat, not what the chef felt like giving me. They apologized and said that if I did not want the cuttlefish, they would serve me something else at the expense of waiting, while my companions were already eating, so since it was late and I would end up eating alone, I had no choice but to eat the cuttlefish.
MR. CHEF, THIS IS NOT DONE, YOU WERE WRONG WITH YOUR UNILATERAL DECISION. Know that it is the one who eats who decides what they want to eat; this restaurant is not an army ranch, and an apology is no longer enough for me. I also do not understand how the waiters allowed it. I will definitely not return.

Bad experience with the restaurant staff.
We had a very bad experience with the restaurant staff. Upon arriving at the hotel, we asked at the reception for a table for my husband and me, and the receptionist kindly directed us to the restaurant's entrance. There, the receptionist tried to approach what we believe is the restaurant manager, and she ignored both her and us. Seeing that we were not attended to, we made the decision to sit at an available table with the fear of not being served. Finally, we ordered the food, which was good, but the experience with the restaurant staff was not pleasant, as every time we approached her, she did not seem to be listening to our requests or concerns. We found it to be a lack of education and poor presence for a 4-star restaurant.
