Our room was incredible, beautifully appointed and equipped with a good size refrigerator w/ freezer compartment, two burner stove, microwave, toaster, Nespresso maker, and all the kitchen items you might need. The bathroom is generously sized and had high quality bath sheet towels. Our room even had two small balconies overlooking the street below which was a nice touch.
The hotel pool is on the rooftop and while it was on the small side, we were the only ones using it when we went and it was a welcome break from the Barcelona heat. That brings me to the amazing air conditioning in the hotel rooms. We booked this hotel to escape the day to night heat of Barcelona summer and it did not disappoint. Wonderfully cool each time we stepped into our room, it was a welcome respite several times a day, with the location being easy to stop by for a rest, cool off, use the facilities, have a drink, etc. We would definitely return to Arai Aparthotel on our next visit to Barcelona and hope to check out some of their other properties (London, Paris, etc.) in the future.

However, we regret any inconvenience caused by the weekend ambiance in our vibrant neighborhood. While our double-glazed windows help mitigate street activity, we are always happy to accommodate requests for higher-floor rooms when available for those seeking extra tranquility.

Air con doesn’t work - stay if you want to be awake all night too hot to sleep.
Told staff 3 times.
They came & essentially gaslit us that it was working.
Said it was totally silent & functioning.
The room (number 26) was uncomfortably warm throughout our stay.
Other internal hotel areas were air conditioned & cool.
Won’t be back.

We fully understand how important air conditioning is, especially during periods of unusually high temperatures such as the recent heatwave in Barcelona. Following your comments, the system was checked by both our Reception and Maintenance teams and was found to be operating correctly. Nevertheless, we are sorry that the apartment did not feel comfortable for you.
