Worthy of a great hotel

"5 stars": a real suite in a building in exposed stone in the center of the village.
The service is perfect even if the communication is by messages (Marta has perfect command of French)
It is spacious, clean, not overlooked.
There is even the bottle of wine to welcome you. Mini fridge with water bottles. Everything is designed to make you feel comfortable.
Surprise: we come in your absence to remake the bed.
Breakfast, planned in the restaurant "Cal ferrer" is divine with a very attentive waiter.
The service lives up to the announcement.
Only downside: the neighbor's dog that can bark in the night.

Very poor management

I write this review which is my second review this year. I stayed in March/April this year and all was so good that I returned to stay for 2 nights 30th Aug.-1st September. After the first night in Romani room which had the most uncomfortable bed that I had very little sleep, I had my wife contact the management to express that we could not spend another night in the room Romani. The management did get back to us and offer the original room that we had stayed in on our first visit, but we had to pay €20 more! I was insulted by this and got my wife to write back that we were unwilling to pay extra after a night of nearly no sleep and that they should change our rooms without charge. The management would not accept this and said we had to pay. We decided to leave and go to another hotel 50km away, we informed the management of this, they replied 2 hours later stating that they did not understand why we didn't just enjoy our time at Can Xicu! These invisible people only care about taking money and not about customer satisfaction! They are a disgrace to Capmany which is lovely village.

One night is too short

The pictures on the Internet are already impressive. When you enter the hostal it is overwhelmingly beautiful and quaint. It's all decorated with love and you already feel in good hands at the entrance. With the terrace next to the room you have the opportunity to enjoy the sunset with a glass of wine. Would always come back.
