Comfortable Hostel

A sympathetic hostel, with friendly staff, spacious rooms and good breakfast. Nice surroundings, quiet, with a nice terrace with tent for enjoying a cool draft beer and a cigarette. Relaxing cottage style architecture with ample parking area. Convenient bus stop near by for Bilbao trips.

Not For Business

We ended up staying here because it was supposedly close to the airport, but unfortunately I cannot recommend this hotel to people travelling on business
The WiFI in the room did not work - there was a note apologizing for it - so this is probably not just a one off problem
The rooms were old and a bit shabby. The acoustics are not that great and the room was very warm.
The area is not that pleasant
Staff is Ok and breakfast was OK. I paid 58Euro for a single room. for that money you can do better

Warm Welcome

The hotel is easy to reach from the Airport (10min by car). Although it was close to midnight I was asked whether I need some dinner. Room was ok, clean and all you need for one night. Good breakfast and friendly people. Fair pricing! I payed 59 EUR including breakfast and one bottle of water. The Spa treatment I did not try.

basic hotel clean and handy for flights

Our main reason for staying at the Aisia Derio was its situation , it is very close to the airport for an early morning flight with lots of parking the hotel seemed to be very popular with business men travelling to other parts of Spain .The reception area is clean if a little clinical the bar atea also serves food the staff were friendly , luckily we speak a small amount of spanish as none of the staff seemed to speak anything other than spanish , the rooms were of a good size and clean with a very good shower , cheap and cheerful

Poor hotel, great staff

I really had a problem with rating this hotel. Based on the service in the reception and bar they should be rated as exceptional. They have one of the best hotel staff I've ever seen!
Unfortunately the rooms are quite poor and simple. The bads aren't comfortable, the doors are thin and you here people on the corridors. And there are problems like holes in the walls were lamps were previously attached, some strange things on the ceiling and poor lighting of the rooms.
We used it as our last stop to get to the airport and it is really a short drive, so it might be a good choice for an early flight.
