Delicious food in a beautiful setting

We celebrated my birthday at Villa Morena
Gastronomic menu was delicious and the price correct. Very good cocktails too and very nice presented
The terrace is beautiful: lovely view, lots of green and flowers and very peaceful.
We will be back soon!

Terrible experience

We were with the whole family in Andora, renting a house for 6 people, with a spectacular view, but unfortunately, upon arrival, the air conditioners did not work, and in April, it is still cold by the sea in the evening. There were small pots for cooking, only one was provided, and there were 5 spoons, 4 forks, and 2 knives, all in limited quantity, which was a pity since we were always six plus one little girl. To reach the beach, you need to take the car as the apartment is on the main road, that is, the Aurelia, which is absolutely a failure.

Perfect Stay

My Husband and I visited at the end of January and stayed for 3 nights.
We had a wonderful stay here. Everything was perfect from start to finish. The superior double room was spacious and modern and spotlessly clean. Bottles of water left every day as well as coffee pods for the machine. There was also tea available.
A small fridge/minibar was also provided.
The shower was large and there was also a hairdryer in the bathroom.
The standout for me was the breakfast service. The new owners now deliver an array of bread, pastries, cheeses and meats to your table. There was also yogurt and fruit offered, as well as freshly squeezed juice and lovely coffee.
It was my Birthday whilst there and the staff kindly left me a card. It was a great start to my special day.
The grounds were lovely, and so peaceful and there was ample terrace furniture to sit back, relax and enjoy the scenery.
They have just opened the Restaurant for lunch and evening meals but unfortunately we didn't have time to enjoy it.
We holiday in Spain, as we live here, and La Morena is one of the loveliest places that we have stayed, helped along by the friendly owners and staff.

Overall disappointing experience

The rooms were very clean, the service was good and the breakfast was great as expected for the price point.
The bed was too soft to the extent that we had to ask them to change it. They did but the new one was very similar. Since we were not sleeping well at all, we decided to shorten our stay to 3 nights instead of 4 as planned.
To our surprise the owners demanded us to pay the 4 nights regardless. This was very disappointing considering that we were the only guests staying in the hotel. This made the overall experience disappointing and left us with a feeling of being ripped off.

Dear Sara, We are very sorry to read this. After the mattress was changed, we asked you at breakfast if it was better with the mattress. The owner proposed to provide another room, but this was not necessary for you. The earlier check-out was reported for reasons of visiting friends. However, you have not reported anything to do with sleeping. You had also booked for 2, but you were present with 3 (a child) and we have not charged anything extra for this

LA MORENA/Llar La Morena

See my review for the hotel under Llar La Morena in error. Same place
The restaurant was closed during the month of June when we visited.
I'm sure the food would have been good and authentic for the area. Breakfast comprises of cheeses, local hams and the usual croissants etc. More than adequate for the hotel price paid.
