Recommended

Pension highly recommended. Both Pili and his nephew advised and guided us very kindly and aptly of everything we could do in Getaria and the surrounding area and using the bus that took us to San Sebastian was a great discovery. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Pension situation is unbeatable. We'll be back.

A plug to charge electric bikes, a pump to replace our faulty one, and with a smile!

Very warm welcome, smiling and efficient. Speaks French and it is appreciable
Room very clean and easy access. Nothing wrong, an address to recommend warmly.
Right in the city center, close to all entertainment and restaurants

Great little pension in Gretaria close to the restaurants.

Found this excellent pension while walking past the Iribar restaurant on the old cobbled street from the port up to the tourist office. We were shown a room by the owner and decided to stay here 2 nights as Gretaria is such a pretty town with good food and the room was clean, comfortable and modern. Highly recommended as it's so close to old church and the restaurants in the old town on the sea.

Two nights in Getaria - perfect

This was the beginning of a 3-week adventure for us. We took the ferry from Portsmouth to Bilbao and drove along to Pyrenees from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean, then to Bordeaux and up to Cherbourg to get the ferry home. Our 2 nights in Getaria were the perfect start. It's a beautiful little town, very Basque and not too touristy, although it has grown a fair bit since we first visited in 2001. Iribar is right in the centre, perfectly positioned. Everything was clean and just as you'd want it to be. The lady who owns it and her mum both speak some French, and this is the language we settled on. They were both lovely, very friendly and helpful. Also, by the way, I later discovered that Iribar is recommended in my old Rough Guide to Spain (2004), so there is some real consistency.

Buen alojamiento en el centro de Guetaria.

Estuvimos tres noches en este alojamiento, ubicado en el centro de Guetaria (calle Mayor). La habitación es pequeña, pero muy cómoda y bien equipada, el baño también pequeño y menos equipado que la habitación, todo limpio y muy cuidado. Desde nuestra habitación se veía parte de la fachada de la espléndida Iglesia de San Salvador.
El trato muy bueno en todo momento.
