Good hotel
Sercotel HMO Martina is such a hidden gem in Granada! The absolute highlight is the rooftop terrace—the panoramic views of the city, the Alhambra, and the snow-capped Sierra Nevada mountains are completely jaw-dropping and perfect for photos. It looks stunning at sun set time.
The rooms are super clean and modern, with an indoor pool and a gym. It is located near the train station and bus stops, so it is a flat 15-to-20-minute walk into the historic old town. Service was prompt as we asked for an electric kettle which was immediately provided. Highly recommended hotel.

Hotel in Granada with a wiew
Although officially rated as a 4-star hotel, I would personally rate it as a good 3-star hotel.
The location is convenient, as the hotel is within walking distance of the train station. The city centre is also within walking distance, although it takes around 20 minutes to get there. Most of the restaurants and nightlife are concentrated in the city centre, so there are not many options immediately around the hotel.
The hotel has a clean and welcoming entrance, and the lobby is spacious with plenty of room to relax. The staff’s English skills varied, but everyone was friendly, helpful and willing to assist as much as possible.
There is an indoor swimming pool, although I did not find it particularly appealing. The rooftop, however, was a very nice feature, with an attractive bar and restaurant, as well as a lounge area where you can enjoy lovely views over Granada.
The breakfast was good and offered a reasonable selection.
The rooms were simple but clean and comfortable.
Overall, there was nothing particularly wrong with this hotel, but if I were to visit Granada again, I would probably choose a hotel with an outdoor swimming pool and a location closer to the city centre

Very improvable
The location of the Hotel HMO Martina is one of its main strong points: it is quite close to the center of Granada and allows you to move around the city easily on foot. Mind you, if you come by car, you have to keep in mind that parking in the area can be complicated, since blue and green zones predominate.
As for the hotel, the four stars seem quite fair to me. The rooms are simple, with a small facelift, but without great amenities and with some details that could be improved. In our case, furthermore, the bed squeaked quite a bit, which is especially annoying when trying to rest. As a positive point, some rooms have good views.
The staff was polite, but we really missed some attention and a little more detail. We had booked to celebrate a birthday and we explicitly indicated it in the reservation, emphasizing it to try to get them to have some small gesture. Furthermore, when they entered to clean the room, they could clearly see that there were balloons and garlands decorating the room. Even so, there was absolutely no gesture from the hotel or management. We were not expecting anything special, but a few simple chocolates worth a few euros would have made the difference and shown some attention to the customer.
The pool is indoors, but quite small and, at least during our stay in August, it was very crowded, so it loses quite a bit of its appeal. The gym, on the other hand, is quite good for what the hotel offers: it is simple, but sufficient to be able to work out and not lose the habit during the trip.
Regarding the price, in August it seemed reasonable to us and it can be an interesting option if you are mainly looking for a good location. However, at higher prices in other seasons, I think there are better options in Granada for what it offers.
In summary: good location, good views, and an okay gym, but quite basic rooms, a small and crowded pool, some maintenance details that could be improved, and, above all, customer service that could be much better. For the price we paid in August, acceptable; at a high price, I would not recommend it.

In my opinion, the best hotel in Granada in terms of value for money, the facilities are wonderful, as is the hotel security and the treatment from the employees.
I especially want to highlight Chema from the front desk for his kindness, attention, and calm during the extreme earthquake situation we experienced; his management was a 10, looking out for our comfort and well-being at all times.
In addition, I also want to highlight the kindness and friendliness of two waiters on the hotel terrace, a young man and a blonde woman, whose names I do not know.
Without a doubt, this hotel was the best choice for spending our vacation

However, I think the hotel should be much stricter when it comes to enforcing certain basic rules of coexistence and hygiene, because some situations we saw during our stay were truly unpleasant.
The pool was completely overcrowded and we saw several people swimming while fully dressed. The water was cloudy and there was a very unpleasant smell, to the point that we went in and, as soon as we arrived, we decided to leave.
At breakfast, we were also quite surprised by the lack of hygiene of some guests: people grabbing food directly with their hands, literally bringing their noses up to the jars to smell them, and handling products that are then left for common use. I understand that the hotel cannot control the manners of every guest, but it can establish and enforce minimum hygiene standards.
As a suggestion, I think the jams, honey, and other products of this type should be offered in individual portions or through dispensers that prevent direct handling.
It is a shame because the hotel is nice and the staff does a good job, but certain uncivil behaviors by some guests, if not controlled, end up greatly harming the experience of the rest. I think it would be important for the hotel to enforce the rules more firmly, precisely so that all guests can enjoy the facilities in proper conditions.
