Perfect for a family stay.
A small quiet family hotel with perfect service and a magnificent beach restaurant. The breakfast is decent, nothing more.

Penthouse not worth €6500.00 for a week
Having stayed at El Pinar around 15 times, we took our daughter, son-in-law and the grandchildren, aged 6, 2 and 6 months there are booked the Penthouse apartment, as we've done before, at a cost of €6500.00 for a week. We complained about no hot water in the kitchen on numerous occasions, sink was not hygienic, we had to boil the kettle to enable us to wash up, although the sink did not keep the the water in it as the plug had corroded, had to have cupboard taken of the wall as it was falling off, had to chase for towels on three occasions, had a toaster that was faulty, kitchen utensils were almost non existent, shower cubical was dirty and cracked and on the day we left we had planned to eat in the restaurant, only to be told at 16:00 "the kitchens closed", opening hours are 13:00 to 22:00, all of this and more fell on deaf ears and after weeks of complaining, I got a reply basically saying that what we had reported/complained about was not true, sadly we wont ever go back

Great location and nice rooms
Clean apartment, comfy beds, nice pool (shady at times which was good for us), helpful staff. Really appreciated the blackout curtains for a good night’s sleep! Great location right on the beach with a tap for de-sanding your feet.
We went half board and the breakfast buffet had a great variety. We also had pizzas in the restaurant one evening and they was delicious.
We had a hire car and managed to park in town for free on the road 2-3 mins walk away.

Disappointed
We arrived at the hotel at about 12am following a delayed flight. There was a sign on reception saying ‘back in 5 mins’, half an hour later someone finally came and checked us in.
We got to our room and the air conditioning wasn’t working- we went to go and inform reception but they locked the door.
The next day, we got up and had showers and the water from the showers flooded through into the corridor- we went to reception to report both the air conditioning and the shower. It took well over an hour (and us having to go back and ask again) for them to even send a cleaner to mop up the water that had flooded. Eventually, someone came and unblocked the drain so we could finally shower.
However, the air conditioning wasn’t fixed that day and there was no offer to move room or any other suggestions (nothing was communicated to us about if they had even come to check it). Another very hot night with no air conditioning in the middle of August…
The next day, the air conditioning was finally fixed but not without a huge mess left behind as a result.
That same day we asked what time the kitchen shut for dinner and we were informed 10:30pm. We arrived at 9:45 and asked to be seated for food only to be told the kitchen had already shut and we would not be served.
Additionally, throughout our stay our bedding was never changed, the bin was constantly over flowing as it was rarely emptied by the cleaners and we had to ask at reception twice for more toilet paper as this was never replaced when finished.
The gorgeous location of this hotel is its saving grace. Cala Llonga is stunning with some amazing restaurants and a brilliant beach on the doorstep of the hotel. The hotel pool is basic but never had any issues getting sun beds or parasols and the use of a room with showers for the check out day as we had an evening flight was very useful.
Overall, I would 100% recommend Cala Llonga for your holiday- I would just look for a different hotel in the area.

Relaxing holiday
We stayed here for ten nights. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The atmosphere was very calm and relaxed. We never had an issue getting a sun bed. The sun beds were padded and every morning they put on clean top sheets which I think was a good idea. Pool towels are provided free of charge. Breakfast was plentiful and the location is perfect…. right next to the beach.
Due to conserving water, you need to request your bedding and towels to be changed. Apparently, there should be a card in your room for you to request a change of bedding, but we didn’t appear to have one of these in either of our rooms. However, I’m sure reception would have arranged it for us if we had requested it.
We would definitely visit again.
