Charming place with positive vibes

What i loved the most here was the positive atmosphere, good vibes, amazing roof top terrace (don't miss it in the morning at sunrise!). Girl at check in was soo nice amd friendly, she showed us hostel and the room. I took a private room and also got a private bathroom. The room was not top clean but i didn't expect a lot and i was satisfied with it. I repeat, the atmosphere here, smiles of young happy people and a roof top terrace are the reasons why i would definitely come back at Atlas!

Excelent staff bad hostal

The staff really excelent. All of them of differenti nationality very good people but the hostal is quite old and according an expertise traveler as I am needs many works and ti be renovated a lot. The position Is definitely Hood, anyway.

A volunteering girl working there has been a nightmare with us

It is a very standard hostel, with no special charm neither inconvenience. Most people in the hostel were nice, there are a lot of volunteers. But there was one black haired girl working there and she has been an absolute nightmare with us at the checkout.
tldr:
She was in the office room when we checked out. She treated us as if we were unworthy, interrupting us when we try to talk quietly, raising voice, talking in spanish quickly while she was perfectly able to speak english, alarming anybody that was passing through at this time in the hostel, saying we were unrespectful and insulting us eventually.
What was our crime? We (two french travellers) stayed there for three night and the last night, we stayed in the common room, a living room that was turned into a dorm at night to arrange people that had no room and wanted to stay. We had to wake up at 9 and the checkout was at 11, we decided to end our night in the beach and came back at 14. Once we came back, we went to check out and we wanted to ask if we could left a part of our stuff in the luggage room so that we could make a trek and come back the day after to get it back and go away.
She started accusing us of being unresponsible, preventing the hostel to work normally because we had not been doing the checkout at the right hour. So we could not let our stuff in the luggage room even if we were paying something, and we had to leave immediately. She wanted to keep our caution of 10€ for our lack of respect of the rules. She was smiling while putting us in an unpleasant situation and making everybody in the office room uneasy.
I've been in many hostels and I never seen a situation like this. People have always been accomodating. Mistakes and late can happen and the goal is not to insult people on this basis. For example, the hostel made a mistake by forgetting to put our name on their record when giving us the key in exchange of our caution. So when we wanted to get back our caution we waited for a while because they needed to call the former office guy to make sure we had given him the money. Of course we had and we waited for them to verify, It is not a drama, no problem. We never lack of respect to anyone there and I am still wondering if I am guilty of something because she was so agressive she almost convinced me I was an outlaw.
For this reason I really do not recommend this hostel.

A family in Las Palmas

This hostel is the perfect solution for a cheap and friendly stay in Las Palmas. Rooms are cleaned and the staff is very kind with customers. It is beautiful the terrace on the rooftop, where sometimes live concerts and other events are organized.
