Bathroom dangerously slippery.

Bathroom is dangerously slippery.
My wife slipped on the incredibly slippery slate shower floor and onto the polished marble tile on the bathroom floor.
The shower door handle is has sharp edges.
The slip caused my wife to cut her arm on the shower door handle.
Also, she got a severe bruise on arm.
Hotel did send up an individual to do first aid.
Later in the day after we requested a non slip shower mat, on was delivered and placed in the shower.
Another thing, the shower drain cover is not secured to the floor. It gets easily dislodged from the water pressure and is a major accident waiting to happen.
Now home in the U.S. and cut has become infected.
I took my wife to the doctor and got an antibiotic and topical antibiotic cream.

Thank you for sharing once again you opinion with us. You have taken so much trouble to create a whole new account to be able to share another negative review.
As your wife literally told us, she slipped getting out from the shower and not inside as you mention here. According to security regulations every room has a bathtub safety rail the same as yours. Setting a shower mat is not hygienic and against health standards inside a hotel but you asked for one and you had it. Our colleague came immediately to assist the moment you called us. You were offered the possibility to call a specialist but you declined it several times. Our staff acted with a lot of professionalism once again but you refused to be helped.

Excellent Service and Facilities!

We had three rooms for a family vacation. What distinguishes this hotel is the service of everyone from the maids to other employees who greet you to the front desk staff and especially the breakfast ladies, Emery and Alexandria. Thank you for making our stay a good one. Your service stood out from other hotels we stayed at in Spain.

A great hotel stay in Madrid! We had a wonderful stay at the Catalonia! Excellent location, clean rooms and delicious breakfast buffet.

Would stay there again...great staff and location

The Catalonia Las Cortes was a great find in Madrid. Good location, very lovely rooms and the front desk staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. A shout out to Monica at the front desk who made our stay fantastic.
The bell staff was great at getting taxis (even in rush hour) and very helpful with storing our luggage and helping us get it in the taxi.
The free glass of Cava and bottle of water were a nice amenity as a club member. The free happy hour items were refreshing after a hot day sightseeing.
