No complaints, location perfect, would recommend.
Lovely hotel stay at the Petit Palace Plaza Malaga. Nothing wrong with this hotel, but the 4th star is a bit of a stretch. Service was fantastic, staff are helpful, warm and friendly, all english speakers, nothing but great service from the team. The hotel is limited by its wonderful building and old town centre location. The location is a real highlight, absolutely perfect for exploring the marble paved streets and alleys of Malaga Old Town. 15min walk from the station, 10min walk from the waterfront, 10mins from the roman amphitheatre ruins and 0 mins from the old town bars and restaurants. Behind the hotel is the giant Cathedral and there are plazas at every turn.
The rooms are clean, comfortable but basic, with a somewhat random collection of furniture which didn’t quite work and the frosted glass door on the bathroom is a bit odd, letting in light all night despite the best efforts of the blackout curtains on all the windows. Disappointed the aircon was turned off (hate that, that’s my choice not the hotels) but the supplied fan was welcomed, tea/coffee making facilities are there, the mini bar was reasonably priced and the TV and toiletries were welcome, all good. Think 3 stars, not 4 and you’ll be happy. Breakfast was simple but great, plenty for all tastes, coffee was superb and plentiful.
I would recommend this hotel for the friendly service and location alone, some comments, but no complaints.

I am sorry that the room layout, the translucent bathroom door, and the situation with the air conditioning affected your comfort. As this is a historic building, some rooms have individual layouts and features that can be less convenient; however, we understand that the light coming through the bathroom door and the air conditioning being off was an inconvenience. We only have a single climate-control circuit: either heating or air conditioning. We switch it according to the city’s weather. For future stays, please let us know your preferences in advance or at check-in and we will do our best to offer you another room, provide additional options to darken the room, or enable climate control when possible.

The staff are friendly and responsive, and the rooms are very clean and well appointed. The hotel is convenient to central Málaga and the major attractions .

A perfect hotel in a beautiful city. From the great location to the amazing breakfast and the incredibly attentive and helpful staff. Special mention for Vera and Daniela who made us feel very welcome. Already planning our next visit.

Another amazing hotel
We have just returned from a three night stay at this hotel. From start to finish everything was perfect.
The hotel is situated near all the most popular places to visit and a stone’s throw from the pedestrianised Lario street. There are many restaurants, cafes, ice cream shops and bars on every street nearby.
All the staff in the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful, and there was no problem with any language barrier.
Breakfast was included, and that was amazing. There was everything from cereals to fruit to hot food to cold meats, it was only the coffee machine that was a bit erratic, but okay when you got the hang of it!
Our bedroom was clean, the bed was huge, and the bathroom had all amenities.
This is our second visit to an hotel in your chain, last year we went to Seville which was also as wonderful.
All in all, the hotel is perfect!

Great Find
This hotel is tucked away off the main pedestrian strip, however taxi drop off/pick up is available a few mins walk away. Our rooms were a good size, beds are quite low if that is an issue for anyone. Decor isn't modern and may seem a little dated, but we were fine with it. Breakfast was a lovely buffet and had something for everyone.if we were to return to Malaga would definitely stay here again.
