Very good in all ways, even though my Spanish is very limited we managed to communicate and got all help I needed to book taxi, get an earlier breakfast and more.

The food is terrible.
The facilities are a 10, but the food was terrible. To sum it up, all the spinach leaves in the salad had holes, like the ones worms leave when they nibble on them. They served us a grilled lean steak that had been reheated from the day before, tough meat that felt like gum hardened in the sun; the worst meat I have ever eaten. They tell you the side dish is potatoes au gratin and they serve them fried. They tell you the dessert is almond cake and they serve you half a muffin of almond sponge cake with a little bit of ice cream. Come on, what a rip-off.
Besides, the service is slow. The Iberian pork and the veal round were dry (a little sauce wouldn't hurt).
One of the waitresses promised us a free portion of potatoes for the inconvenience and never brought it to the table.

BE WARNED
We have never, EVER experienced a hotel that was so NOISY, and where the staff were so indifferent to our concern & complaint.
Basically, if you are staying here and there is a function of some kind, you will not be treated as a paying guest, but as "collateral damage". Bear this in mind BEFORE you book.
As soon as we arrived we realised that the function taking place in the central courtyard - which all the rooms overlook - was very noisy indeed. There were about 50 guests, plus children, all of whom seemed to be speaking at once.
(We have nothing against people having a party, just not DIRECTLY OUTSIDE OUR BEDROOM.)
We returned to the reception desk to query this, but were assured that there would just be a lunch (it was, at that time, about 2pm), then coffee, and it would be all over before the evening. This was annoying as we had driven a long way and had been looking forward to a rest, which is not unreasonable when you book into a hotel. However, after we returned from a walk at around 5pm, the party was still in full swing. So we went out again, until about 7.30; slightly fewer people, but still really, really LOUD. And so it continued, until we eventually gave up and went to our room just before 9pm, turned-up the TV and did our best to watch a film.
It was almost 11pm before the last guests left, and the glasses & plates had been cleared away. Our "restful" day had been ruined.
We raised all this at reception the next morning, but were greeted with nothing but a shake of the head (we speak reasonable Spanish, so he knew what we were talking about) and a shrug. No acknowledgement of our complaint AND NO APOLOGY. His attitude implied that we were not the first people to raise this as an issue.
Other highlights of our stay included: a dingy room, with no carpet or tiles on the floor; a bed that was as narrow as a coffin (we are both average height & slim), with a thick, granite hard gravestone as a pillow, and a thick, plastic undersheet; and a toilet that wasn't fixed to the floor properly.
We have travelled extensively in France, Spain & Portugal for over 20 years, and this is the WORST treatment we have ever experienced. We don't leave reviews as, on the whole - though some are better than others - the hotels & apartments we have visited have been very good. However, on this occasion we feel that OTHER PROSPECTIVE GUESTS SHOULD BE WARNED.
There are many, many wonderful hotels in Spain. This is NOT one of them. Find one and have a great holiday!

Disgusting.
It's not normal. Over two and a half hours to eat. Normal quality shooting to mediocre. The tapas that the bars of Manzanares have given us were richer than the very expensive food that we have been served here. And there wasn't even a Manchego dish on the menu. All in Diverxo but inedible.

Stayed here on a whim, it did not disappoint. Visited once before for drinks and food while working in local area.
