A great stay. Will be returning.
We stayed here for a long weekend in April, and had a lovely experience.
The hotel is in an excellent location, just a few minutes’ stroll to Balcon de Europa, with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby, which made it perfect for exploring on foot.
The staff were friendly and welcoming. The hotel was very clean throughout, including all the common areas. Our room was also spotless, with a nice bathroom and thoughtful touches like plug sockets on both sides of the bed (always a plus), as well as extra sockets around the room. The air conditioning worked really well, and having a kettle and fridge in the room made things even more convenient. Parking is available at the property for an extra cost, although there was lots of free parking outside and nearby. We also tried the Rocamar snack bar at the hotel and the food was good and the mojitos were excellent.
One of the highlights for us was the rooftop pool. The hotel has two pools. Pool towels are available from reception for a €10 deposit per towel (refundable), and you can exchange them for fresh ones daily if needed, which was a nice touch.
Overall, this is a great choice for a relaxing stay in Nerja. We will definitely be staying here again.

Very good stay overall, reception can do better
My partner & I just returned from nerja where we stayed at the Hotel Perla Marina. The positives were the location,very good just outside of the main town centre but no more than a 5 min walk and beach is right next to where we were staying. Room was a good size with balcony,have to mention the power shower-amazing!
It was clean and had all we needed in there. Our cleaner was great, anything we asked her she was happy to do. We were B& B and breakfast was good not great. However when we first arrived tired, hot and thirsty I went into the reception greeted with no smiles and told my name wasn't on their system,I showed them my paperwork I had as proof and told me to go to the Apartments next door which I did only to be told that I was in the wrong place and need to go back to hotel reception which was where i came from which I did.Same woman then found my details, no apology was given for her mistake.So good value for money overall but the Reception let's the hotel down in my opinion.

Fantastic short break
We’ve been coming to Nerja for over 35 years but it’s the first time we’ve stayed in the Perla Marina. It was perfect for a quick post GCSE break as a family, we booked 5 nights with Jet2.
Newly refurbished to a really good standard , the rooms were great. We had 2 sea view rooms in the annexe. Plenty of space, great bathrooms and very comfortable.
We were bed and breakfast as there are so many good restaurants. Breakfast had great choice, catering for the various nationalities.
The rooftop pool and bar is gorgeous, very sleek and as a result was more of a TOWIE party atmosphere. We’re past that but looked great fun!
We chose the ground floor pool as it was by the beach. During the day we ate at the hotel beach bar or one of the nearby chiringuitos.
Aside from a really weird interaction where reception told me we’d been pouring water onto people in the street in the early hours and they wanted to report us to the police (we hadn’t !) we had a great stay. Not a misunderstanding as my andaluz is pretty good!

5th visit and unfortunately service has deteriorated !
My honest opinion while staying here, the work done on the rooftop pool is really amazing, the pool bar is definitely a lovely addition and the staff there were lovely. House keeping staff do an amazing job, rooms spotless (staying in 4th floor suite, so well done the housekeeping) I’ve marked down my review solely based on the older bar/cafe staff, (there was a young server who was nice) so disappointing, they obviously don’t won’t to be here, ignored when seated waiting to be served 2 nights in a row, and at lunch time when I gladly wanted to spend money but the staff couldn’t be bothered, completely ignored people, and were miserable, although bar closing time states 12. (I know it’s hard working in the service industry, and I would gladly tip if service was delivered) Don’t waste your time trying to order food and drink, stay clear of this area of hotel! Unless you have unlimited patience and thick skin!

Great week at the Perla Marina
We had two rooms on the 4th floor having paid extra to get a seaview. It was so worth it! Great view and lovely to hear the sound of the waves. The room was newly refurbished and sparkling clean.The air con is great. Ours broke but someone came immediately to fix it. The rooftop pool is wonderful and we went there every day . It opens at 10am and a few people queued but it was civilised. The hotel arranged airport transfers for us and there is a luggage room and a shower room if you have a late flight. We didnt eat at the hotel as we like to go out for tapas. In the room there is a kettle and a fridge. The walk in shower is great. The rooftop pool bar has excellent service but the bar by the beach gets really busy and service is slow. We particularly appreciated how quiet the 4th floor was at night.
