Very hospitable staff - great location.
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this hotel. What stood out the most was the level of hospitality that the staff provided, they went above and beyond to provide exceptional service, we were made to feel very welcomed and comfortable. The breakfast was great, they had hot and cold options with fresh juice and bread. The hotel is also quite stunning and the location is very convenient for exploring Palma on foot. I highly recommend this hotel.

Room 101 is a disgrace to be avoided
I had just one night to spend in Palma and I chose the hotel for its wonderful location, just a few minutes' walk from the Cathedral and other main tourist attractions.
The hotel is hosted in a wonderful historic palace with big stone walls and big wooden doors and this style is reflected in the rooms and furniture.
Upon check-in, I was assigned room 101, i.e. the first room on top of the stairs and right upon the reception.
The rooms itself was great: clean, with a big bathroom and overlooking a very quiet street.
The problems came later in the night.
- The a/c was quite noisy at times, probably due to a problem with the swings vibrating; it may go unnoticed during the day, but it becomes an issue at night when everything else around you is silent.
I immediately told the night receptionist, who kindly offered a different room (albeit smaller and in a lower price range) with the warning that I probably would not be reimbursed of the price difference.
I decided to keep the room and see how the situation would evolve.
- Shortly before 1am, I could clearly hear loud hard rock music coming from the reception: it was the same night receptionist, listening to music from a radio or its reception PC.
I could maybe manage the noise from the A/C but massive guitars solos were a bit too much.
I asked the receptionist to please cut the music, he apologized and did so. It's incredible that I had to do that in a 4-star hotel.
- Then, at around 6.15 am further noise from downstairs started when the cleaning staff came in, probably through the hotel main door which was opened and closed each time with loud bangs, and began cleaning the ground floor and the stairs right outside my door.
Breakfast was good, but nothing to write home about.
When upon check-out I complained to the morning receptionist and explained everything that went wrong, he barely shrugged and offered me to file a written complaint to the hotel manager, which as of today, one week later, is still unanswered. When I told him about the noise from the cleaners, he even had the guts to correct me because allegedly the staff did not come before 7 am, as though making a hell of a noise even at 7am could be acceptable.
In short, room 101 is a disgrace and should not be sold to customers because noise-wise it's like being right at the hotel reception and everything that happens downstairs can clearly be overheard in the room.
The noise level and staff behavior is unacceptable for an expensive 4-star hotel.
I realize that different rooms would lead to better experiences, but based on what happened to me I would advise everybody to spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

So disappointing
So disappointed, we stayed at this hotel very often.
This year we had a travel problem and couldn’t get there when we’ve been trying to contact the hotel. They have completely ignored us even though we’ve left at least 10 emails..

Wonderful stay
Our stay at the Hotel Born Mallorca was excellent. What we liked most, without a doubt, was the extraordinary kindness and professionalism of all the staff. From the first moment they made us feel at home, always attentive, approachable, and willing to help with a smile, which made the difference throughout the entire stay.
The hotel's location is unbeatable, right in the center of Palma, which allows you to explore the city on foot and enjoy its main attractions, restaurants, and shopping areas without needing to use transportation.
The rooms are very comfortable, are well-equipped, and allow for a perfect rest. In addition, the hotel stands out for its tranquility, something that is greatly appreciated being located in such a central area.
Without a doubt, it is a totally recommendable accommodation for those looking for a combination of excellent service, a privileged location, comfort, and rest. We would stay here again without hesitation.
I hope to be able to return next year.
