Very comfortable stay, fantastic breakfast and a very warm welcome

Located in a small quiet village, easy to get to from the A-8. Room was really well presented and comfortable, beautiful Juliette balconies opening to a garden full of colourful flowers. The bed was so comfortable and the bed sheets/covers of the highest quality we had the most amazing sleep, so much so that we returned for a second stay at the end of our travels around Northern Spain.
The garden was a peaceful place to spend time lazing at the end of a hot day, there were plenty of chairs to choose from, some with shade too. Inside the house there was a lounge area to relax in. Posada La Cotia is a beautifully renovated country house with fantastic artwork on every wall and lots of finishing touches. Simply put, a lovely place to stay.
The main attraction for us was the lovely owners, Sofía & José who gave us a very warm welcome. Sofia was able to speak very good English and was very interested in our travels, it was such a pleasure to chat with her. At breakfast, the Spanish omelette was amazing, we also loved the home made jams and the fresh toasted bread as well as the cake.
We loved our stay and I have a very good feeling that we will return again.

Beautiful house taken care of with love

Beautiful 19th-century house decorated with very good taste. Quiet and very pleasant location. During the day you can hear the birds and at night you sleep wonderfully, without a single noise. But most importantly, the owners, Jose and Sofía, kind and affectionate, will make you feel at home. Abundant and delicious breakfast; very homemade and served with care. The homemade cake and the potato omelet are a great highlight! And you can have breakfast inside or in the garden, which is a haven of peace. We will definitely be back!

The best hosts

The best welcome of the owners, attentive, charming, loving.....a very nice inn and above all very cared for and very clean. The excellent location if you are looking for silence and rest and just minutes from spectacular sites like Santillana or Comillas. After a painful family loss, it was a balm for my sister and me. Thank you Jose and Sofia

Fantastic

Beautiful accommodation carefully maintained and lots of art in any corner. Very comfortable bed. The detail of the 2 chocolates, the sobaos and the kettle with tea and coffee is very nice:)
Having air conditioning in the room is not usual in the north and is appreciated because it was hot at night.
Breakfast is all homemade and varied with natural orange juice. We loved it.
