Brilliant Hotel
Brilliant hotel, clean, friendly staff. Animation team brilliant. Food what you expect at all inclusive something every day. Sometimes queues but expected in peak time of summer holidays.

Avoid at all cost!!!
Avoid at all cost!! Very poor customer service especially at reception. They basically cater for Spanish guests as a priority!! They barely speak English which is surprising. I wanted a transfer but been told by jet2 it will take at least 2 days when I was there for a week! Restaurant opening late with a big queue and an archaic system waiting your room paper every single meal! You have to pay a euro every time you get a drink from the bar that you supposed to get back when you bring the cup back but they give a card instead and then when you ask for your money back, they become snotty and asking if you have receipts that they rarely gave!
Pools are old and the hotel itself looks like a relic from the 70's!!
The rooms are tiny. I could nearly touch wall to wall with my arms open! Nothing in them other than this little fridge.
If you arrive early first day,like me, expect long waiting hours. I arrived at 9:30am and got the rooms at 4 pm after changing them on my card 3 times and making me wait while giving the ready rooms to Spaniards. And yeah, Spaniards will leave their room at 1:45 pm when you are supposed to get it at 2 pm so wait!!!!

Fantastic Hotel!!
We had an absolutely fantastic holiday and couldn’t have asked for more!
From the moment we arrived, every member of staff went above and beyond to make our stay special. The reception team, restaurant staff, pool bar staff, and housekeeping were all exceptional. Everyone was friendly, professional, and always willing to help with a smile.
Before travelling, I read a few worrying reviews about the food, but I can honestly say they couldn’t have been more wrong. The food was superb! Every day there was a huge variety of fresh, high-quality dishes, with different fish and meat options. Each evening featured a different international theme, which made every dinner something to look forward to. There was also an amazing selection of fresh salads, cheeses, cold meats, a wide variety of breads, delicious fruits, desserts, and plenty of ice cream.
The cleanliness throughout the hotel was outstanding. The restaurants, pool area, and all the communal spaces were spotless, and our room was cleaned to a very high standard every day.
There was also plenty of entertainment for both children and adults, with fantastic shows every evening, ensuring there was always something enjoyable to do.
I genuinely cannot fault this hotel. It exceeded all our expectations, and we made wonderful memories during our stay. A huge thank you to every single member of staff for your hard work, kindness, and dedication. You made our holiday truly unforgettable, and we can’t wait to come back!

Suited our requirements.
My wife and I stayed for three nights on a full-board basis.
At check-in, we were offered the option to upgrade to a drinks package for meal times for €39, which we decided to take.
We had to wait around an hour for our room to be ready, but that wasn't a problem. We stayed in Room 190, which suited our needs perfectly.
We didn't stay for the evening entertainment as there's so much to do around Salou, and because we weren't all-inclusive, drinks were much cheaper outside the hotel. The main strip is only a few minutes' walk away—simply turn left out of reception and then left again.
At meal times, the staff were always helpful in finding us a table, even when the restaurant was busy. However, some of the food wasn't labelled, which made choosing dishes a little difficult. I also wasn't a fan of the dinner card system, as you can't enter the restaurant without it.
One of the pools was closed on our second day. I can only assume this was because a child had used it as a toilet, although no reason was given.
Overall, the hotel met our expectations and suited our requirements. I would happily return with our children, but I probably wouldn't choose the all-inclusive option, as there are plenty of great places to eat and drink nearby at reasonable prices.

AVOID
Where do i start ...on walking into reception the area smelled like dirty drains ,rude and abrupt not very helpful staff ....the rooms were adequate.. clean ,not so comfy beds though ..and the noise from other guests shouting swearing and slamming doors is ridiculous. We went all inclusive and we were treated like second class citizens ushered behind barriers at the other end of the dining room and the food was dire ,absolutely disgusting, you can usually find something you'd like but if it's not chips or fruit you're stuffed ...Rabbit Stew a dish full of bones no meat left ...same with the chicken a pan of skin and bones.. Salad bar but the lettuce yellowed and smelled sour and old , sweaty tasteless cheese slices ..Plenty of fruit.. tasteless desserts a choice of 2 and ice-cream but frequently ran out and wasn't replenished until a long queue had formed .Old mouldy sunbeds round family pool with slides..pool was clean and kids enjoyed it ..The evening entertainment was really poor and never saw any proper kids entertainment ..small play area no good for the amount of kids there ..really this is just a little of it i could go on and on this is definitely a place to avoid if I could have done this as a no star i would have ..Medplaya HotelCalypso
