Perfect stay

The hotel is well located, you can do all the sightseeing on foot. This is a former ibis hotel that was taken over by the b&b chain. The hotel has been renovated. The staff is really great. A mercadona just downstairs so super convenient and for small budgets, possibility to eat in the breakfast room. Excellent value for money. Top

Not best pleased

Hotel was clean and centrally located , a short walk from the historic centre and river. However hotel seemed to be in a slightly seedy/rough area with very rowdy youngsters frequenting a bar opposite.
Despite being mid August and holiday season, the hotel bar was closed, which was disappointing. I was woken at 12.30 am by a young couple shouting and arguing in the street, then could not get back to sleep for hours due to street noise( this was a Sunday night). Windows could do with replacing as not very sound proof. Declined the hotel buffet breakfast at 14euro per person as thought this was extortionate (paid 7 euro per person for same in Central Rome earlier this year). On booking, was not advised that the underground parking would be 19 euro per night. Had to take the car in a lift, luckily it was under the weight restriction or we would have had to park a long way away. Worst ever view from window

A good hotel

In terms of value for money, along with what they offer and the customer service, I recommend it 100%. Pleasant workers, especially Oka, he explains everything clearly and concisely and his kindness makes me want to come back. Without a doubt, if you want a hotel with good views like the Pilar, this is your place. Thank you Oka for your kindness and your patience.

Good stay

the pros:
perfect location, just a bridge to cross to access the points of interest
warm welcome
convenient underground parking, but a bit expensive (€18 per night) and difficult to access by car. However, there is direct access via the hotel elevator
spacious room, if possible choose those with a nice view of the monuments, clean, good bedding,
plastic cabin bathroom, impractical fixed shower head, no handheld shower head
simple but fairly complete breakfast, in a room also overlooking the monuments
the cons:
insufficient soundproofing, both with neighboring rooms and with street noise
the shower tray did not drain well and flooded the floor of the plastic cabin which is relatively cramped
overall a good stay nonetheless and good value for money
recommended

All right.

Very good location near the old town and even better if you can have a room with views of the cathedral. Lack of soundproofing especially when guests talk loudly when coming home late. Otherwise clean room.
Breakfast quite correct and personal speak enough French.
Parking is under impec a little hard to find (better ask for a plan at the reception.)
