This hotel has a quiet setting within the 18-hole Mar Menor Golf Resort. It offers spacious rooms with flat-screen TV and walk-in shower, an outdoor swimming pool and a spa.

Unfortunately, our stay at ONA Mar Menor Golf & Spa Resort was very disappointing and fell well below the standard we expected.
The most serious issue was the pool area. Both my 11-year-old sister-in-law and I were cut by sharp/broken tiles while using the pool. This is completely unacceptable and a serious safety concern. A child should not be getting injured simply by using a resort swimming pool.
There were also several other maintenance and cleanliness issues during our stay, including problems with Wi-Fi and the general condition of some facilities.
We raised our concerns with the hotel, but the way they were handled was extremely disappointing. The hotel manager, Javier, essentially denied or dismissed the issues we reported rather than properly addressing them. Despite the injuries and the safety concerns we raised, the only remedy offered was a discount toward a future stay. Given our experience, an offer to return to the same resort was not an appropriate resolution.
The resort has a nice location and potential, but the maintenance, safety standards and handling of guest complaints need significant improvement. Considering the price we paid, we expected much better.
Based on our experience, I would not recommend this resort, particularly to families with children, until these safety and maintenance issues are properly addressed.

Perfect but Improveable
The experience very nice very nice the super attentive staff at all times , the only bad thing in the room the heating could not be removed and we spent warm at night and the bath cistern was quite hard. Of note, we went to the spa and on one side the Jacuzzi did not work some holes for the jets.

Very tired hotel. Not a five star.
We had a Junior Suite which had a good sized bed, separate lounge area and large bathroom plus large balcony. The bathroom tiles were in need of replacing, hooks were missing and holes left in the wall, the shower leaked and overhead drench shower didn’t work at all. The room needs a refit.
The large pool was nice but again tiles were broken or stained - needs a refresh. The sun loungers are stained. Breakfast was ok. Hot food wasn’t hot, tepid at best. But the continental was nice.
Staff not the friendliest or helpful. For example a waiter on the Clubhouse clearly didn’t want to serve our large group! Not enough staff either so very slow service everywhere.
But by far the most annoying aspect was the evening entertainment- every night VERY loud music from 10pm until 1am. To be expected maybe on a few nights but every single night. We have a small child so we’re early to bed but no chance of sleep until gone 1am - as then you had the banging doors of everyone coming to bed afterwards….. not a relaxing place!

The front desk staff are not very friendly or acknowledging of issues.
The Air Con, although essential cannot be turned down, so sadly makes the room too cold.

Worst Bar Service Ever
We are here just now. Hotel is still a bit dated but we knew that.
The service at the golf bar is shocking. Staff standing around looking at you, queuing for 10 minutes for a drink, just an overall poor, poor service for clients and guests, makes you want to go off resort and management seem incapable of sorting it out, lets the hotel down badly
