Kassapa Lion's Rock
Situato nel tranquillo villaggio di Digampathaha, il Kassapa Lions Rock vanta 2 piscine all'aperto con vista sul famoso Sigiriya Rock e un centro benessere in loco. WONDERFUL FAMILY GETAWAY
A Wonderful Family Getaway at Kassapa
I was at Kassapa with my family just after my 55th birthday. This was probably my 10th visit to this beautiful, eco-friendly place, and although things have changed a little since it first opened, the charm of Kassapa remains very much the same.
Usually, a welcome drink is served at the lobby upon arrival. But this time, to my surprise, the welcome experience was at Lamatha. One of the pleasant young ladies from the reception guided my family there, where we were served Sri Lankan fruits, some sweets, and a lovely fresh juice.
While enjoying them, we were taken through the facilities and services available at the hotel — the swimming pools, pool timings and rules, buffet timings, Ayurveda Spa, and much more. Having visited Kassapa many times, I already know most of this, but I thought it was a wonderful experience for first-time visitors, giving them a good introduction to everything the hotel offers.
As we walked towards our room, I noticed that many areas looked fresh and beautifully renovated.
When I entered Room 104, the first thing that caught my attention was a beautiful painting inspired by the famous imagery of Sigiriya. It was a lovely concept and something new that I experienced on my 10th visit.
And then, it was all as usual , the warm and friendly people, the excellent welcome at the restaurant, and the wonderful selection of both Western and Sri Lankan food.
But what makes Kassapa truly special is its breathtaking environment. Once you get away from the concrete jungle that most of us live and work in every day, you suddenly feel a completely different sense of peace.
Then came the sightseeing, looking for elephants along the Trincomalee Road and Polonnaruwa Road, visiting Sigiriya Rock, Pidurangala, Dambulla and the surrounding areas.
Three wonderful days spent with my family after quite some time. A much needed break, surrounded by nature, good food, wonderful people and unforgettable experiences.

A triple dipple memorable trip
Beautiful location and atmosphere, which binds us with nature. Great hospitality and a friendly staff team. The food was amazing & delicious. The rooms were excellent and spacious.

Kassapa Lion Rock
We stayed here for two nights and were very impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel and quality of the food. We are all vegetarian and the staff and chef went out of their way to accommodate our request, especially Gamini the restaurant manager and Sajith Dildhan the senior waiter.
