Wonderful tree house
One of the highlights of our stay was the temple in the lake tour. Our kids absolutely loved the boat ride, and seeing elephants in the lake was an unforgettable experience. It made our trip truly special.
We stayed in the tree house, and it was superb. It was comfortable, well maintained, and had all the facilities we needed for a relaxing family stay.
The food was absolutely delicious. A special thank you to Seetha for preparing such wonderful meals with great care and taste. Every meal was enjoyable.
All the staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with a smile. Their warm hospitality made us feel welcome throughout our stay.
We highly recommend La Pentera Resort to anyone looking for a unique and memorable family getaway.

We are sorry that you chose to leave this review. However, we must correct one important fact.
You left the resort at approximately 6:00 AM without informing our staff and without settling the outstanding charges for the food and safari services that you and your family had already received and enjoyed. Despite several requests, these charges remain unpaid.
The outstanding balance includes:
* Food: LKR 9,000
* Safari: LKR 10,000
* Accommodation charges in accordance with your Booking.com reservation terms.
We have been operating La Pentera Resort for more than 10 years and have welcomed thousands of guests from around the world. We take cleanliness and guest satisfaction seriously and investigate every genuine concern. If you had reported any issues during your stay, we would have been happy to address them immediately.
We remain willing to resolve the outstanding payment amicably. We ask that you settle the unpaid balance as soon as possible.

Xmas at La Penterra
Wasn’t expecting to share with a Land Monitor in the roof space & no hot water for 5 days, (apparently a monkey had pulled the pipes off the solar panel).
I never managed to fathom out the hundreds of light switches in the main room, but I guess some were for the stair lights, which weren’t working.
The staff were really lovely, and had some fantastic trips out to the national parks.
Amazing food, & a great location for a base for wildlife photography especially up by the lagoon.
