The hotel is very small, has an old style but very great service.

Great hotel in Haputale.
The hotel is very small, has an old style but very great service.
Staff is extremely kind, friendly and helpful.
Room and shower is huge. No toiletries products but there are towels.
Bed is very comfortable.
They have a free parking opportunity, at night the gate is closed.

Perfect stop in Haputale !

The location in perfect to have a stop in Haputale. Super close to the train station and from village center and small restaurants. Nice clean room with new bathroom and view. The team is so nice and they help you to prepare everything in the area especially the sunrise in Lipton’s seat with an amazing breakfast to go! They take care of their guest on the best way. Thanks again :-)

Amazing Family

Ok, We read a lot of bad reviews from people who probably didn't realize where they have been or where they are. A lot of people coming in Sri Lanka and thinking to find everywhere a luxury hotel paying almost anything. It's not like that everywhere. Haputale is a really small town and the only think to do there, is just to go up over the hills to see The Lipton seat. There are only two hotels and if you decide to visit Sri Lanka you can't get nervous about poor places o be annoyed by basic hotels otherwise you should go in Thailand or Philippines.
This hotel is a family business. We arrived very late in the evening because we have been doing Uda Walawe afternoon safari, so we arrived around midnight and to go in, we had to call them, and they were already sleeping but once they woke up they have been extremely nice and kind.
On the following morning we had a really tasty breakfast and we paid something like 13€ per night. There is no sense to stay more than one night because, as said before, the only thing to see are the tea plantations over the hills.
The hotel has a stunning view.

The view was spectacular but hotel basic

Part of intrepid tour. Had a morning walk and had no plans from 2pm. The town is small, and due to the constant drizzle, looks dreary and bleak. Not a lot to see so one nights stay only. Breakfast was fruit, toast and eggs on request only.
The onion soup at dinner was nice and they greated us with a tea on arrival.
Seen a room with a massive boulder build around the room but all others were basic

kind, generous

They are extremely kind and generous. In the beginning we felt we booked wrong one. Too closed to the market and the mosque. Haputale seems very small town for traffics. It is very clean, quiet except the mosque, ironing, laundry all available.
We went to Lipton's Peak by bus, visited tea factory there. We left their place 5am to Horton national park. They offered us very nice sandwiches and fruits as our lunch box,
Regretting that I didn't ask the owner where I could buy their tea. It was the same brand of tea from Debatenne Group.
They are the most kind people among kind people in Sri Lanka.
