Highly Recommend

We highly recommend staying at Sun Dove Suites, we stayed for 4 nights.
It is located high on a hill overlooking Kandy's town, with the roof terrace giving excellent views. It takes 10 minutes to walk down to the town, but there are plenty of tuk tuks if you don’t like walking.
The room and building was exceptionally clean. The stairs and floors are polished wood that gives a quality feel to the building.
We stayed in room 12, which is one floor down from reception. The room had great wifi upload/download speed.
The room is a nice size, with a large comfortable bed, and plenty of plugs. There is a kettle with a selection of flavoured teas, coffee and biscuits, which was a lovely touch. Water is supplied in bottles, which you can replenished whenever you wish. The shower room has a cubicle with good water pressure and stable hot water and decent sized towels.
Breakfast is Sri Lankan, I do not eat spicy foods, but the hotel was very accommodating and I had lots of options. The quality and quantity of food was exceptional, with owner gave us details of what the dishes are called and how to eat them, which was thoughtful.
The owner and staff are all very friendly and helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Best Homestay in SriLanka!

We had an amazing stay! The host is incredibly friendly and helpful.
The property offers four rooms, all of which are maintained to a German 3–4 star hotel standard. Everything is spotless, modern, and bright. Each room comes equipped with a hairdryer, soap and toiletries, as well as a TV with international channels.
The breakfast is fantastic – very varied and truly “all you can eat and drink,” including coffee and tea. Guests also have access to unlimited bottled drinking water, plus coffee and tea in the room.
Parking is available right in front of the hotel. The location is excellent: close to the Kandy viewpoint and the Kandy City Center. The Bank of Ceylon is directly at the KCC, offering fee-free ATMs (200,000–250,000 LKR withdrawal limit). There is also a supermarket nearby.
It’s about a 12-minute walk to the city center, and a tuk-tuk ride back costs around 250 LKR.
Overall, this was the best homestay we experienced during four weeks in Sri Lanka. Highly recommended!

Wonderful Stay in Kandy – Truly Exceptional Hospitality

We had a fantastic stay at Sun Dove Suite in Kandy!
From the moment we arrived, the hosts made us feel incredibly welcome. They were absolutely friendly, polite, and always ready to help with anything we needed.
The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and having 24-hour service available made our stay even more convenient and relaxing. The attention to detail and the care they put into everything really stood out.
Breakfast was delicious every single day—fresh, generous, and served with genuine warmth. It was the perfect way to start our mornings in Kandy.
Overall, Sun Dove Suite offers excellent hospitality, great comfort, and a truly homely feeling. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended!

Hotel with nice view and quiet of the bustle of Kandy

Hotel with clean room and nice and welcoming staff. Sri Lankan breakfasts are good and hearty.
The hotel is about 20 minutes from the center and the temple of the tooth, which allows to be more quiet of the bustle of the city...
The view from the balcony of the room is superb!

EXCELLENT

Fabulous location walking distance to town. Lovely spacious room , large shower . Beautiful view of town, good price for quality of room , super clean , tea coffee facilities. Hoste was super pleasant couldn't do enough to help .one nicest places I stayed in sri lanka on my 9 day trip .
