Family vacation.
An idyllic stay in a paradise.
Clean rooms equipped with all the essentials without excess, a beautiful pool in a splendid garden with a variety of exotic plants.
Michel and his team are very available and caring.
They recommended good addresses to us, typical places to visit, providing a wonderful immersion in this magnificent country.

Much better elsewhere...
We stayed 4 days in this hotel and I come out very angry.
The French boss is in bad faith in my opinion.
When we arrived, the pool walls were green (algae). Of 7 children who went swimming, two had red patches after two minutes with severe itching. Boss says she's surprised and thinks it's because of the sunscreens and insecticides from the customers... I've never seen more than 7/8 guests in the pool... Given the size of the pool, I wonder...
Four employees cleaned the pool with a small sponge, what a shame to make its employees do this! You should think about buying equipment!
I used to have a swimming pool and it was green. It's either the ph that's too high, or too much phosphate... Dealing. We clean the pool and in 24/48 hours with a filtration that turns h24 it is set!
Indeed human activity can affect water quality (turbid water etc), but this is true when the filtration is not adapted to the size of the pool or when the filtration does not work sufficiently during the day.... Here the filtration is stopped from 6pm to 8am.
Then regarding hygiene and quality of rooms. The photos are misleading. It's not clean. Cleaning is done by broom (Well yes why buy a vacuum cleaner when my employee can do it with a broom) We pushed a bed so that our three year old child does not fall asleep. Even at home, behind my sofa that I make every 36 of the month is cleaner.... There are holes in the mosquito nets refilled with knots....
There are no aisles in the beds. The mini fridge is placed on the floor. As you are close to the sea, the sea air quickly reveals the rust (you can see clearly)!!!
In the morning you will be awakened at 6:30 by the light because there is a poor curtain not blackout at all..
I've taken pictures. You'll do your bidding.
Pros: the proximity to the beach and Sri Lankan staff always at the top, ready to help you. The music of the restaurant not far from the hotel did not bother us despite the simple glazing.... I put two stars because the staff does not deserve a star....
Our guide took us to a cheaper and much better hotel in Merissa where we spent our days... Sublime beach, top pool, sublime view etc....

Budget Accommodation in a Great Location
Overall, it was a mixed stay here. Possibly a little more on the expensive side for what you get but maybe that is the location and the pool. It did not look like the photos.. more rundown than the photos show. We had 2 x Standard Double Room.
- Location was great - in front of the rocky beach which had snorkelling (accessible from a short walk down the road); located a few 100 m from ‘The Doctors House’ and loads of other amazing restaurants; ATM next to ‘The Doctors House’
- Breakfast was filling - standard eggs, fruit, tea/coffee
- My room was great- bed was comfy, spacious bathroom, hot shower with good pressure, mosquito net (which had holes in it but was fixed when I mentioned it) and a little outside area. My friend’s room was not that good as it had a strong musty smell and water from the shower ran into the bedroom part.
- Pool was clean
- Wifi was pretty good in the main area; not accessible in the rooms
- It is in need to maintenance - the grass was quite long around the pool area; the sun loungers were worn and fraying;
- Manager was very helpful and eager to make our staff pleasant
- Mostly quiet at night although we were there over Xmas and you could hear the music from ‘The Doctors House’ but didn’t impact really.
- Lush, tropical garden surrounds are lovely.
There are a number of TukTuk drivers hanging around the front. We used Rukshan (WhatsApp - +94 772035153 a number of times and he was excellent. Good English. Great local knowledge. Very helpful. Highly recommend.

Everything is basic but the price
Lovely pool and garden, nice staff BUT room smelled like a cave and was terribly humid. Room was basic, no kettle, no hairdryer and no WiFi although it was advertised (you only have it in the lobby and around the pool). Breakfast was ultra basic and tasteless.
This place needs complete renovation.
For the price paid, you can get much better somewhere else!
