The boss and uncle are very enthusiastic. It is very cost-effective to sign up for whale watching. The room is large. The only disadvantage is that there is no air conditioning. There are only two electric fans. There are mosquitoes in the hot weather.

pretty good. Air-conditioned, no more than 10 minutes walk to the beach, there is no hot water. Breakfast is charged separately.

Believe every warm word you read already or you will read in future about the host and the place

After staying at the guest house with my family for a week I do confirm every positive review that was already written about this place. The host is very helpful and speaks fluent English. Everything happens exactly when it was arranged to happen and it is not common practice here in Sri Lanka. The place is very relaxing as it is quiet, surrounded with greenery and perfectly maintained. Different levels of service and so that prices are available. Just feel free to contact the owner and see which one suits your needs and expectations. It is not kind of beach house as you have to walk to the shore or drive by tuk-tuk toward the Mirissa beach (it is cheap by the way) but you get away from noise and into a tranquil environment because of that.

Ideal place for family with kids

I stayed there with my wife and to small kids and have to admit the place turned out to be ideal so we stayed longer than planned. The hotel provides full scale kitchen with utensils and gives references to the local services optimised by price and quality (laundry, ayurverdic procedures, tuc-tucs). The breakfasts and food were good for me for the fair price (they cook european and local with flexible spiciness).
This hotel located away from ocean noise, smelly and sweaty Matara Road and if you care was not impacted by tsunami. From another hand the nearest beach attainable on foot and tge Mirissa Beach by bus or tuc-tuc.
