-leaf as a starting point for a road trip with driver.

Stayed one night at J-leaf before embarking on a 9- day trip with a driver organised by the hotel in advance. Driver (Demidu) was excellent. He was conscientious and well mannered at all times, and a safe, confident driver. Sandu at J-leaf offered an itinerary which I adapted along the way, as I had my own plans and timeline. Totally recommend J-leaf as a starting point and their driver Demidu.

Comfortable stay

This is a small, family run hotel. The staff were all super friendly and accommodating. We had a comfortable stay. The room was clean but the bathrooms could do with some renovating. It's close to the beach and a lot of restaurants.

Great hotel!

Really good for our first stop in Sri Lanka, lovely clean rooms with air conditioning and an excellent breakfast. Staff were very helpful and attentive. We would definitely go back again for a short stay in Negombo. Thank you for a good start to our holiday.

Brilliant!!

Beautiful kind and friendly family who gave me such a warm welcome! And also a welcome drink which was much appreciated after my long journey. Beautiful, clean and spacious bright rooms and a great location close to all of the beach, the shops and restaurants. The breakfast was amazing, one of the best coconut sambols I have had in Sri Lanka! I would definitely recommend and really hope to come back one day! Thank you so much

OK but we expected more

Staff was friendly and room clean. We stayed here two nights after our looong flight and wanted to book a bit better hotel where to relax before Sri Lankan roundtrip. Unfortunately Jleaf hotel was not what we expected.
I have to complain about the breakfast what was a huge dissapointment. There were almost nothing to eat. Empty medalboxes in a row and three of them filled with a toast. There were no other guests than we ever in the breakfast and three of staffmembers (men) were standing there and starring us every morning during the whole eating situation what was really weird:D they didn’t ever say anything just smiling and starring and they just made us feeling very very uncomfortable. I wish you read especially this and don’t do like that in the future, i think other people would also appreciate it…And the coffee (what is at least for us the most important thing in the morning) was less strong than tea.
For these reasons i wouldn’t choose this place again for my stay.
But anyway i wish everything good for this place and i believe that with small things and effort this hotel has potential to be the brightest star in Negombo someday!
