Silent Bungalow is a gem in Udawalawe

We had a very pleasant stay at the Silent Bungalow. Staff very, very helpful. They arranged a beautiful safari at the next door national park.
Cooking class was so much fun! And very delicious too!

Superb Homestay in Udawalawa.

We stayed for 3 nights and had a fantastic time. The hosts were so welcoming and couldn't have been more helpful. The breakfast were good lots of fresh fruit. We had dinner here each night and they were superb. All freshly prepared and with a variety of curries.
You must take a safari with them. We did the full day and it was fantastic. A real highlight of our Sri Lanka tour. So many animals and birds and after the morning rush we hardly saw another jeep. A must stay, Highly recommended.

Above all expectations

Sudath and his family have a wonderful little place in the jungle, close to the national park. We truly recommend everyone to stay here it was a highlight of our journey.
The rooms are spacious ans clean, with fans and private bathroom, and convenient mosquito nets over the beds.

11/10 stay! Home away from home!

We can’t thank/recommend this place enough! We turned up without a booking and Sudath and his wife were the most unbelievably kind and welcoming hosts. Silent bungalow is your perfect, peaceful stay in Udawalawe. They organised the the room, the food, the hospitality was just amazing!!! We can’t recommend enough you have to stay here if planning a safari/trip to Udawalalwe. It felt like a home away from home.
We had the yummiest tea and cake, they helped us wash our clothes and also gave us a lift to the bus stop early morning when we had to leave. It was all perfect!
Stay here if you’re looking for somewhere in Udawalawe!!!

Great experience!

Great hosts! We had a wonderful stay at Sudath's. Welcoming and smiling, they really take care of you. You can eat excellent rice and curry on site. We also took advantage of the safari experience they offered, you will leave with two enthusiasts (the father and his son) who know the national park very well and will give you an excellent time in contact with wild animals.
We recommend +++
