great overall.

stayed for business. The location is great,but we are talking about a small city, so everything is close. I got a room facing the pool. This has a small indoor room looking into the pool. (sort of hard to explain) Which the hot tub was heated... it was not

Do not stay here!

Place was dirty, had a terrible musty odor that did not improve. Carpet was dirty, a/c would not go below 60, toilet broke and had black mold all under the lid, housekeeping entered my room despite the “do not disturb sign” and then took all of my towels without replacing them. Bathroom is just plain disgusting and the pool area is nothing like the photos. Even when I tried to keep the windows open at night to air the place out, there were loud residents and guests outside making any relaxation impossible. Overall a complete disappointment and will never stay here again. Can’t believe a place like this exists in Aspen! Trust the reviews and do not waste your money.

AWfUL STAY AWAY

If I could give this hotel a zero I would. This is no where near worth 800.00 a night. I checked in and left within 15 minutes. Where to begin. 1. There is no lobby you walk in and you have the front desk and some spiral staircase and very outdated. 2. This place has no elevators. Yes, no elevators. And to access your rooms you have to go outside the where the front desk is. I had to walk outside and around the corner and then carry my bag up to the third floor. The stairs and the entire wood structure beyond dated and this hotel should not be charging these fees. 3. I get to the room and I am like I really cannot do this. The closet is beyond dated. Dark brown old wooded sliding doors, the carpet is date and just old and the room was clean but beyond dated. I could not bring myself to stay here for even one out of my five nights. This is so in no way a 3 or 4 star hotel. Listen to the reviews. Everything is beyond dated and old. There is also no hotel atmosphere, saying it was a motel 8 would be a compliment. I could not stay and called another hotel and waited on hold j til they found away to book me two reservations. I have to move my room after night one but I am happy to do so there is no possible way I could stay at Hotel Aspen. My event had it on the list and should not have. Never again and what a shame to had to spend 4K on this level of room. I will continue to write reviews on other sites about this hotel because no one should spend money on staying here. Also I should be refunded for spending 10min in this place and being billed for 5 nights.

"The Motel 6 of Aspen" W A R N I N G - This place is a dump

DO NOT STAY HERE... again DO NOT STAY HERE!
I don't know how this hotel has a rating higher than a 1 Star. I got completely hoodwinked by their website for $700 per night, which is a complete farse. Hotel Aspen is still in the 1970s with vintage old-school amenities!
I do want to hire their website marketing team that made a homeless shelter look this amazing "Lipstick on a pig".

a total fraud

100% total circa 1970 dump. Hard to believe a place like this could exist in Aspen, of all places...but it does. Most homeless people would think long and hard about staying here. No exxageration.
Its your own fault if you do it.
