Weekend staycation

We live locally, but love the idea os supporting local establishments and what is in our backyards. In addition to this, we too were heavily affected by Hurricane Ian in 2022 and know that beautiful places like South Seas need support in order to rebuild. It was a treat to be able to find the time and just support them in this process. The service among the staff and grounds people was excellent. We had one cabana one day by the new water park and another across the property seaside for a different experience. The kids had a blast at both! The restaurants were very good, as well. The shops were very closet, but I do recommend renting a golf cart to more efficiently get around and make the very most of your time here. We will definitely be back !

My first time in Captive Island, not so good

They are issues with the hot water pressure in both bathrooms, you can see mold in the bathroom AC vents, the patio fans can't be used in high speed because starts shaking, the living room area the AC doesn't have enough air flow, the door handles for the patio door it is loose.
Price of the room does not match the quality

Do not stay here

Stayed here in April 2026, closed out my bill at the end of my stay, was subsequently charged for another $400 a month and a half after my trip was complete. Spoke with a manager and informed me that they were behind on charges. Was assured this was the final close out of the bill. July 22, 2026, was charged another amount and called the resort. Was once again told they were behind on charges with no explanation on what the charges were for. If you visit this resort, make sure to put a stop payment to your card or change your cc numbers because now at this point they are fraudulently charging my card for unauthorized charges 3 mos after my visit was completed with zero explanation of what the charges are for.

Dump

Ever since the resort was bought out by the Timbers it has gone downhill heavily. The resort id a dump now and is horribly mismanaged. Don’t come here if you like fun!

Weekend Getaway

Our weekend at South Seas Resort was absolutely incredible! We boated in from nearby, and felt like we had slipped away to a real island getaway the moment we arrived. The atmosphere is tropical, relaxing, and full of things to do.
We spent our days between the beach, water slides, lazy river, pools, and private cabanas. Cruising the island on the golf cart made exploring easy and added to the fun! Every restaurant we tried had great food and friendly service, and the sunsets and dolphins were unforgettable!
South Seas strikes the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation, and we’re already excited to spend another weekend at this beautiful resort!
