The location of the hotel is great if you're driving in (very close to the highway).
Check in was very quick and easy.
Room was clean when we arrived and the kitchenette was one of the bigger ones I've gotten in a hotel of this price range.

The good...This is a brand new hotel. Room was clean & well equipped with a large refrigerator, microwave, 2 burner stovetop & a dishwasher as well as dishes & pans. Bed was comfortable. They also had an outdoor patio with grills for our use. Staff was friendly.
The not so good...Our toilet wouldn't flush & it took us 3 times calling before someone finally came to fix it, more than 4 hours later. The 1st time we called & were told to come down & get a plunger!!!! My husband said no, we want another room!
Breakfast was prepackaged muffins & oranges. Both days. At $175/night, we expected a little more than that.

Unacceptable

I had really high hopes for this hotel. During some recent work travel, I chose this hotel to try something different. While the hotel was indeed new, I noticed several areas where they fell short. Customer service is almost nonexistent. I had to think for the associates about needs during the stay. The room was full of hair, and the front desk made it appear that it was the norm, and housekeeping was not available during my stay due to the length of stay.  Also, the AC in the room had wires sticking out, which is a safety concern that should have been caught. During the stay, I had to be careful not to brush up against them. If you need anything housekeeping-wise, you will need to go to the front desk to retrieve it. To top it off, I confirmed that I had late check-out on a few occasions and was told not to worry, and it was on the account.  On the day of check-out, I was interrupted five times by housekeeping while working.  It was so bad that I just decided to leave before 2 PM so I could actually get some work done. The nightly rate does not match the caliber of what you will get at this hotel. I will for sure be going back to Hyatt Place VA Beach Town Center for all future travel.

Great stay! A new building is always nice. But one can see that the property is being cleaned properly. Manage your expectations on the Breakast to go! It’s less than a continental breakfast! However lots of breakfast options just minutes up and down the Street! I would recommend it and stay again! C.W.

AWESOME!!

A wonderful stay! The room was brand new and clean; the bed was so comfortable. The front desk staff was kind and very knowledgeable about the hotel. Mr. Cecil checked me in and was so kind and awesome. Highly recommend the Hyatt Studios in Chesapeake and would return again and again. Thank you for making my stay great!!
