Stayed in the Queen Room which was small but more than adequate. There were random noises (people down the hall and water running?) but I still slept good. I only knocked one star off because there was no communal kitchen which I was unaware of. Overall it wasn't a deal breaker but one would just have to plan around that, as there is grocery stores and plenty of places to eat, just no cold storage if you have leftovers. I'll be back.

Employees were wonderful and helpful, but the place could use a serious upgrade. Only one lamp worked in my room which left it very dark, especially because my window opened to a parking garage which meant I got no natural light. The bathroom is tiny and dark, and there’s no fridge or kettle in the room. It was hard to get ready for my day there. Very minimal place, probably won’t stay there again.

Rooms and location were great. The bar had a good vibe but insanely overpriced. 2 drinks were the same price of dinner at a 4 star restaurant

Had a great stay at Freehand Chicago! The staff was friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect for exploring the city. Great value overall—I’d definitely stay here again.

The rooms are small but the location is awesome. The cost is affordable and we love the Cafe and the Broken Shaker bar in the back.
